Eh. Don't be so sure. I've seen cocky Army Rangers get into the cage and get laid out. I've seen professional boxers try and get laid out.

In a situation like this, fancy kicks/strikes would be useless. Whoever is better on the ground with grappling/holds would most likley win. In the end, if one got close enough to the other, it would end up on the ground.

You only see awesome kung-fu type fights when two people of the same discipline fight each other. Both Spetznatz and MMA are trained for holds and grappling.

The Russians pioneered the use of steroids and EMS (electro-muscle stimulators). Those Russian dudes probably have their myostatin gene messed with to achieve insane size/strength as well.

I vote Spetznaz. I've been to Eastern Europe, and even the bouncers at the clubs looked like they would perform a Mortal Kombat finishing move on me in a heartbeat, and then take a bite out of my heart while it's beating.

"FINISH HIM!"

ETA: Although, I think M. Bison would kick both their butts.

Thousand hand slap with the turbo controler button. I always won with him or Chung Li's kick. Just back them into the corner...

Kind of embarrassing to see some of these comments to be totally honest. I personally think it is an unanswerable question.

come to think of it... it would be a tough call. this is just something i was pondering in a not too serious manner. i started it for pondering something simple, not too mature but not for bickering purposes. i mean batman vs. superman has been argued since their spawn into imagination. you wanna hear the messed up part? i created this thread after watching the robert duvall stalin movie. boys will be boys i guess

MMA fighters are trained for competition. The intent is to knock the opponent out, or dry hump them into submission (frankly, a sissy way to win a fight). Spetnaz, and for that matter, all special forces, secret police agencies, and military combat specialists are trained to kill with thier hands. Where an MMA guy goes for the jaw, a military trained fighter goes to break a collar bone, snap a neck, break legs and arms in one simple and smooth move, smash a rib bone through a lung, crack the sternum, and so on.

When they fail to do so, that is because they are either in training, or pulling punches for the purpose of interagency competition. Honestly? If any special forces combat technician was to go up against a pro-competative fighter, with no hold barred, I would expect a fatality, and for the special forces guy to come out on top, no matter which nation he is from.

totally. like my op says, one has to kill to eat in this scenario i think the spetznaz would have less incentive to care about the act of eating the other guy since cannibalism was a thing to do in russia post wwII. like the only way they would tie is if one could limp away from the other like two bucks besting eachother (stag for british neighbors? following dialects has gotten rusty lately.)

Haha! I didnt think you meant rubbing two dollars together R.O.P. lol. Thats my thinking though. If an MMA guy goes for the chin, or a kick to the ribs, I would expect a spetnaz guy to spin him round, put a kneecap through his spine, and walk away, leaving either a corpse twitching out the residual neurological impulses in its systems, or a quadraplegic MMA fighter, who would of course require something of a career change at that point.

I dont agree, you take a Chinese soldier with theyre superior close quarters training and they would destroy Both of them, it is largely depending on technique.

I got drunk on Soju in Korea I had just married a bar girl there, apparently a South Korean Paratrooper didn't like that. This is what they told me happened I was not present at the time.I deeply insulted his mother and guided him outside ,when I turned around he kicked me in the face with incredible speed.I responded with a well executed forward punch. He cut my face and left a bruise,I crushed his face.
Shameful behavior from me yes, but what did we see?
Asians are fast, but only a master in an art can produce the damaging power required for a quick out come.
American troops have fought asians before so I fail to see how the small ill fed Chinese conscript would be any different.

MMA fighters are on a totally different level, they would win Hands down. I might even say most semi-pro fighters would win.

If the Seals, Spetsnaz or anyone else was so good at fighting they would be in MMA on the top making millions.

Most fighters would take it to the ground (if they don't ko the opponent already) and make you submit.

Money huh"
Money isn't enough for some men, they want real life on the edge. They devote their lives to be warriors, not entertainers.By the time they get out of their duties they are mostly going to PRCs or gun related jobs,a steady pay check beats a gamble for millions.
Nobodys filming them when they take out the enemy ,there is NO second place there is dead. They are motivated to win for a far larger reason than money, they have to win.

Sure money isn't enough for some men but for some post career it is, and some its both. They would absolutely take the advantage of making millions fighting and the top tiers of the MMA would be filled with special forces. I don't even think there is one in the pros? I know Fedor was in the military but not special forces though.

Here's a Navy Seal losing a boxing match.
