Seriously?

Because there aren't 10,000 other more important things for people to spend their time and energy on....

Just another distraction to add to the list of things burying us all...

Land of the free does mean you are free to be a complete idiot, but it does NOT mean we should encourage it.

Perhaps we all just need to ask a little differently and play to Obama's soft spot.

If we all agree to exclusive branding of the reflector arrays forever and on all future models? Maybe? I'll bet he'd think about it, anyway.

Of course I don't know whether I'd die laughing, crying or just yelling "I Told Ya So" to the last moment of conscious thought if a REAL alien race of technology to actually have the real thing showed up to take on an ...ahem...worthy challenger. Oh, wouldn't that be humanity's luck? (On a floating plaque: Here are the remains of Earth. They didn't know when to fold 'em)

You do realize that $380000 is about 0.00000000000000447% of the total cost right? Not that great of a start. That's like finding a penny for the house you are about to buy, but you have zero of any other money and you are trying to buy a hotel in new york.

But yeah that's really cool I suppose.

Oh Snap!

Why does it require 31.5 million to design plans and buy chicken wire?

Are they talking nano-chook wire technology? How many chickens are they planning on using? How many chooks does a death star take? And more importantly, will they be free range!

Fancy that, chickens in space onboard the death star.

“The main challenge is assuring Kickstarter that this is a joke and not a serious project. As proof, the goal has been set high enough to make successful funding almost impossible,” the page reads underneath the project’s ‘Risks and Challenges’ section.

Aww.

Are death stars covered under the 2nd amendment?

They`ll never get enough money to build a death star but at least it will keep them busy and keep them off the streets

Do you really think "Death Star" is politically correct?

They would need to come up with a more appropriate name.
