Your symptoms are that of anxiety. When you believe that your fillings are causing these symptoms before you take the actions to have them removed then have them removed and the symptoms decrease it was most likely because you were obsessing over the fact that your fillings may be causing those symptoms. Not saying that they could be doing things to fillings which i wouldn't doubt but sometimes you have to sift through things a bit more, the mind can be a extremely convincing thing to itself. You control how you choose to perceive the world around you but the way you perceive and deal with these thoughts actually changes your chemistry, that to me unlocks allot of answers within itself.

These mercury fillings ruined my health in my young life and still effect me.

The 1st time I saw this video it was sent to me by a Naturopath doctor out of Australia.
He believes these amalgams remain in use with malicious intent toward human health.

Awesome video. Every time the tooth is rubbed on he says the fillings leak Mercury for up to an hour and a half.

Well, people brush their teeth 3 times a day so if you have these fillings, your poisoning yourself every time you brush your teeth.

You mention rubbing or brushing the filling and how bad it is and I actually had wondered about the possibility of a reaction with the non-sugared sweeteners and things like aspartame. Well according to some googled information including the "side effects" part of this link: Aspartame & Amalgams you can see that is has been listed as known to trigger mercury "sensitivity". Just saying some people's symptoms may be a combination of chemicals reacting with their fillings.

People are always talking about colloidal silver.

Thanks for catching this. I read the original post and the title and still the OP did not make the distinction that Mercury Amalgam fillings cause many diseases. The issue being mercury and other chemicals/elements being mixed into the silver for the "amalgam" filling.

Read the wikipedia entry on the dental amalgam controversy

The title should not be "silver" fillings, because silver alone is fine for human health... Unless you try to give yourself argyria, which in itself is not harmful to my knowledge.

Went through all that 8 years ago, mercury in the amalgams was destroying my health, also dramatically worsened autism (caused clearly by the MMR vaccination) in my son. Detox isn't easy. Make sure you choose a dentist that takes precautions, at least a rubber dam, and get them replaced with composite as I did for myself and family years ago. Nor are they 50% silver, but a little tin and a little more copper in the silver half. The copper ratio was increased in the late 90s which causes a synergistic effect with the mercury along with serious mood disturbance which sets you up for psychoactive coercion from the psychiatric racket. I can give you some very good hints on detox, but number one is vigorous exercise, if you can join a frisbee ultimate team and/or spend 6 hrs a week in the gym. Do the best you can with diet, use as much vitamin B supplement as you can, add in ALA, DMSA, sulfur bearing things like chondroitan sulfate, garlic, onion. If you use ALA and DMSA, be sure to take doses every four hours and do NOT skip during the night. Chlorella isn't a bad idea. The quality of food in the states is so bad you can't win, but try to avoid aspartame, GM foods, go heavy on fresh veggies, no sugar as it will rot your teeth fast. I left the states 8 years ago to deal with these and other problems that are rampant in the states. Good luck, oh, and better yet, find Jesus, seriously, God is alive and well, and this life is very brief.

*calmed down a bit*

Okay, phew! That's awesome to find something this useful on ATS! Thanks!

BTW - he's going to be getting a dental appointment

Mercury found in high amount in HFCS, all adds up. But if mercury went next, you know fluoride would be on the list to go.

Amalgam is good, helps you receive your RDA of mercury!

Without my metal fillings I'd probably have died of mercury deficiency years ago.

Ahh no

they poisoned me, no wonder I have been feeling the way I have since the 90's

Question
If amalgam is so great, why does my dentist use white or 'tooth-coloured' fillings?

Answer
White fillings have been used in front teeth for decades. In recent times, scientists have developed strong white filling materials for back teeth to be used as an alternative to the dark colour of amalgam. The reason for this is the public demand for tooth-coloured fillings in visible areas of the mouth. These materials have not been in use for enough time to test their long-term comparison with amalgam but results are encouraging.

In 1983-4, amalgam was used in 68% of all fillings in Australia. By the late 1990’s this had reduced to less than 30% (NHMRC 1999)

www.ada.org.au...

The ADA does it here too.

are these scare tatics?

Question

Should I have my amalgam fillings replaced?

Answer

Dentists replace amalgam fillings for a variety of reasons including recurring decay, fracture, endodontic treatment and appearance. If you seek replacement of quite satisfactory amalgam fillings for other reasons, such as a concern about the effects of mercury, you may create problems that otherwise would not have occurred, such as:

> Possible damage to or weakening of teeth.
> Sensitivity or pain after the filling.
> Financial problems.

I mean this would scare some who is image conscious off wouldn't it.

What you say is in many parts illogical and factually incorrect.

A broken tooth is not going to release any more silver or mercury into your system than an unbroken one. The surface of the filling is always open to the mouth and is chemically identical to any part of the filling exposed by the crack/break.

Mercury does affect the brain as you said, but that does not mean it is untraceable. It can be detected in fecal mater, blood, urine and hair. Source

Silver is also a very toxic metal to have in your system. This can also be tested for. Many deodorants contain silver and are also bad for you - worse than fillings by the way!

However, it IS true that mercury/silver fillings are bad for you - here is the important bit though - you are safer leaving them where they are then having them drilled out people. By drilling it effectively powders the fillings and you end up breathing in and orally ingesting the amalgam, and that is very bad for you. So leave them where they are if you have them. To clarify - it is possible to have a specialist remove them under special conditions, but your average high street dentist won't do this for you.

The symptoms you list are also symptoms of a dozen other ailments. I have amalgam fillings - one in a severely cracked tooth I am scared to go to the dentist with as it may end up being pulled. I am not suffering any of the symptoms you list. I am 45 and have had amalgam in my teeth since the 70's.

So don't be scared people. This is no worse than the stuff you spray or role onto your arm pits.

I have some silver fillings in my teeth in the back. They have been there for about 30 years! I am not joking either. They have lasted forever! Health problems? None.
However, I would think that a chip in your tooth would cause food particles to get locked in there and cause an infection, and thats what would be seeping into your body causing health problems.

I've often wondered if dentures is the way to go. No more dental visits. No more mercury. If the world goes to hell do you want to be looking for a dentist?

Maybe you should look up the adverse health effects that mercury poisoning causes.
Indeed one of them is heart complications, rhythmic abnormalities, and heart palpitations,.. just to name a few. so please, before you continue more manure spreading about what you think my symptoms were caused by, at least do SOME research.

The same symptoms can be caused by aspertame. I wonder how many diet free sodas are being sucked down past those nasty fillings? Or how many McDonalds burgers with all the GM and poisons they contain? Chemicals which would result in prison time if they were put in food in the UK. No. Don't think of that, blame the fillings.

TO CAUSE CAVITIES (?) and then cause cavities to the population that will lead to fillings out of known poison materials.. (Amalgam (Silver Mercury) Fillings!!!! The government knows OMG the govt knows!

I'm with you on this - haven't had a silver filling in 25 years. That said and in the interest of refining the discourse I have to challenge your assertion that "ADA Gag order....". A, so called, gag order, is a legal document requiring parties not to speak, sometimes forever, about a certain matter. If there is such a 'gag order' in place you need to quote a source for the information or your argument as a whole is suspect.

There may in fact be a 'convention' 'agreement', etc to the not talk about the effects of these fillings amongst the parties you state but that is a different situation.

If there were a legal gag order anyone speaking out would be subject to arrest and penalities. This subject is talked about widely, but not many in the profession.

Thank you for bringing up an important subject.

Well though I agree aspartame is bad
I dont consume any products with that in it, never have

thing is, what the ATS wannabe doctors dont seem to understand is, I had the heart palpitations shortly after my 3rd amalgam filling.. and delt with is for many years as a kid.. no good explanations from docs. got worse as I got older and got more fillings .. I get the fillings all pulled out and.. no more palpitations..Not just a coincidence, not after years of research of it being a cause.. This toxic crap had been banned and discontinued in many countries,.Why? cause they know it is bad.. Just like many countries are waking up to the GMO poison that monsanto and other chemical companies,. and wont let them in their crops. Think about this,, If the FDA and the ADA admitted Amalgams were toxic to human health,. there would be a $hitstorm of lawsuits.. this would bankrupt the ADA and the credibility of those that backed it like the FDA. So those that try to say that Amalgam filling are safe,.. go get a mouthfull of it then.

Yes some of you that have one or two fillings that are amalgam,.. you very well could have been fine all those years.. the body will remove some of the mercury,. but there is a tipping point where the body simply cant keep up and this is where the symptoms begin, depending on where the mercury settles. Everyones body is different and so are the tolerances.. but that doesnt make Amalgam fillings any safer just because you dont "Notice" a change..
