Kind of embarassed?

Hell, I stand with the international community, shaking my head and wondering just what in the hell we are doing/thinking.

There is just about nothing done regarding foreign policy in the last 30 years that I agree with.

ETA: the same for domestic and fiscal policy.

the reason Afghanistan is in such a bad way now is directly because of U.S intervention against the Soviets, America eliminated all the progressive power structures in Aghanistan

This tripe could only come from some source such as the old Pravda Ru propaganda arm of the Old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or some Marxist professor at some big University on the East Coast.....or a Seattle coffee shop...

Not Americas business? Do you know haw many BILLIONS we have invested in Afghanistan.
We helped them defeat the Soviets who were DECIMATING the Country and its People.
They Certainly Loved Us Then.
Sure we are not perfect, and maybe we screwed up the tail end, but they aren't perfect either.
Nobody is.
The United States Taxpayers have been contibuting funds to Afghanistan for Three Decades.
Check out this movie with Tom Hanks. en.wikipedia.org...'s_War

You may find it not only entertaining but informative.

And you shouldn't have.... you really shouldn't have. All America can export is weapons and war. The world doesn't want or need that.

So spare us from your pad on the shoulder for killing people and destroying countries. What's done is done... and we are done with America. So get back behind your chain link fence and spend your money on fixing your own decrepit country.

I do however happen to agree with most of what the users here have to say about my nations actions over the last few decades. The problem is the people in power, there are still good Americans left. When will we wake up?

You got to remember that it has always been a fasionable pass time in Canada to bad mouth americans. Some come off like they are righteously indignant but really have an inferiority complex over being crown bootlickers. As if they really care about other nations relation to americans when they themselves live in a state of gorified fudalisim and crown oversight.

Well lucky for me it comes from those big papery things you find in shops.....what are they called again?, I think books are what there called, yes thats it!, books. No idea if all the cool kids are still readings them, looking at your comment though it seems not. You should however try and read at least one book in your life, you might even learn something useful.

To me, the first clue that you are wrong is that you are using the word "tripe" ti describe an opinion differing from yours.

It's a real shame you had a choice. That is something the Taliban does not give. from tossing Christian's off roof tops for there belief in god. then targeting a kid. If a women don't want to live this way they do not have a choice. its a shame that a person like you has that choice. Hell i might just donate some cash maybe to get you a ticket so you can go live in that hole with them. feel free to do this..

Greetings

The Taliban wants all non muslims converted or dead , thats a good 50 % of our world population , they started with the weak , woman and children , being chopped in pieces , in their words the only fate for a infidel....

As a non religous person , my life would be over the minute these apes would come to power.

I sure dont love the US Government , but i will gladly join them if there was a chance so i could send these scumbags to their makers.

With all do respect but if you would go to afghanistan to see how friendly the taliban actually is , you would be kidnapped and if you are lucky being held for ransom only.

Have you seen the Four Horsemen doco? Describes perfectly why the US is investing so much in those areas. Basically so they can make more money for themselves

I know this video has been posted several time recently, but it should be because it is an awsome video.

www.youtube.com...#!

Don't hate on Americans, hate on global corporations that have been allowed to take over America (and most of the World) through subversion. Most Americans are completely oblivious to the problem.

If you want to hate on someone or something hate on taxation without representation which was re imported from Britain around the start of the 1900's.

Damned redcoats. LOL

You're blaming the entire country for what SOME people are doing.

I am an American, and very happy to be one. Happy and grateful, yes.

Proud? Not as much.

Thing is, I don't like the tyrants in charge of my country, and if I could help it, I wouldn't let this stuff happen. But that's the thing. I CAN'T help it. Most Americans can't.

Don't blame the entire country for the evils of its government.

And all that aside--America has invested quite a lot of money into those other countries. It's not all bad.

Depends on your definition of "our" fault. I definitely say it's "not our fault" that black people were slaves, it's our ancestors' faults. It's not most of America's fault that we ruined almost every country we've "liberated" either. There is that remaining 1% (or whatever the actual number may be), that's in our government, CIA (especially), and higher-ups in the military that have made bad decision after bad decision quite consistently since, oh, the invention of Christianity at least. Without going into a huge, near-endless rant, I'll just give a few pretty obvious instances.

1. Keeping "facts" about Christianity away from the public. (Look up the Vatican hiding gospels, such as that of Judas)
2. The Crusades (600 years or so of war if I'm not mistaken? Maybe only 300. Either way, stupid war over religious differences).

A slightly less obvious and possibly inaccurate instance - America's Revolutionary War. If you've seen the portrayal in Assassin's Creed 3 (admittedly, a work of fiction), it basically shows that the British thought they were doing the right thing, but so did the revolutionists. Like I said, it may not be accurate, but I believe it's highly likely, and I'll get back to this thought in a moment.

3. "Helping" in the Middle East/War On Communism...we've created so many enemies. Mostly through the CIA's action against the USSR, etc. We funded and armed more than one (I think more than one anyway, but at least one "terrorist" group guaranteed) of the now "radical/extremist" enemies that we fight.

So, long story short, it is indeed "our" fault. We meddle far too much, trying to basically be "World Police" and most countries, even our "allies" don't like us very much. Britain is probably the only exception. Kind of proves my earlier point, they thought they were doing the right thing here in America, and as such, don't hold much of a grudge over our violent disagreement.

Hard line fanatics were the result of the United States methods to withdraw from
involvement in Afghanistan at that period in time.

The United States failed to oversee power struggles that would follow.

It is a fact.

I suppose its Americas fault, when Terrorists kill innocent victims, or Arab on Arab violence, that's been happening since the dawn of time too......
