Yes this is the New standing order given to South Korea forces manning the line news.yahoo.com... from the link

YEONCHEON, South Korea (Reuters) - As North Korea prepares a third nuclear test, South Korean soldiers on the world's most heavily armed border now have orders to shoot back immediately if they come under attack, a move that risks escalating any small-scale conflict.
seems the days of talk are over, time to let hot lead fly.

Could we be looking at the opening act of WW3 ? this is getting to be a real hot issue, and no cooling down! DPRK is ready to test their nuke , and this is just more fuel to fire .
China is pushing Japan so is Russia, over some little rock,
DPRK is saying the US needs, as well as RoK aka South Korea,to be taught a lesson.
I have long thought nukes would not fly , but with Iran and DPRK now having them , not so sure any more.

The mid east is also a hot bed , Iran Turkey Egypt Syria all going against Israel.

India now in the act over a Pakistan /China agreement over some seaport.

Iran now openly admitting they do have a nuke after all, Israel might think this is their time to act ,[ I think Iran said it just to push Israels button.] this does need to be looked at closer, if Iran does have a nuke did DPRK help them get one?
If it does become a hot war in Korea will it give the other nations in the mid east a reason to become a hot war against Israel as well?

Since when has it been proven Iran have nukes? I understand Nth Korea have them but Iran only have Nuclear technology, not weapons.

Anyway, this is not good for the two countries involved. Any bullet coming from Sth Korea will definetly get a response. But I think its fair that if Nth Korea attack, South Korea have every right to retaliate. The question is how far the Nth Koreans would be prepared to go.

it is not for fact that Iran has nukes but it is their wording that could be interpreted that way www.haaretz.com... form the link

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that while Iran is already a nuclear state, it has no intention of attacking Israel. Ahmadinejad was interviewed on the eve of his visit to Cairo, where he will attend the 12th Islamic Summit Conference, due to open there on Wednesday.
so why say it if they do not? Knowing this could give Israel the reason to attack, or is that the reason for making the statement?

then add in headlines like this www.timesofmalta.com... form the link

North Korea yesterday said it was ready for a “sacred war” using its nuclear weapons as the South held a live-fire drill in a show of strength a month after Pyongyang’s deadly attack on a border island.

Armed forces minister Kim Young-Chun also repeated Pyongyang’s charges that the South’s exercises near the border were in preparation for a new Korean war, the communist state’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

“The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK (North Korea) are getting fully prepared to launch a sacred war of justice of Korean style based on the nuclear deterrent at any time necessary to cope with the enemies’ actions deliberately pushing the situation to the brink of a war,” Kim was quoted as saying.
we need to start taking this type of talking very seriously. then on the 7th DPRK made this statement

DPRK Is Ready For an “All Out War” against USA and Their Lackeys

The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and moves for a nuclear war against it have entered a grave stage.

Some days ago, the U.S. fabricated a “resolution on sanctions” against the DPRK at the UNSC.

It is now deploying armed forces for a nuclear war in the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity while talking about “new provocation of the north”.

It recently deployed on Guam, the island situated near the Korean Peninsula, B-2 Stealth bombers from the U.S mainland.

The bombers have the mission of a “precision strike” at nuclear and missile bases of the DPRK.
so their talk is nothing new but what is new is the frequency.
