Work closely with the White House to ensure it passes? WTF does that even mean?

I think the fact that they've been so persistent and aggressive about this, tells us just how much we need to worry about it passing.

It means they openly intend to subvert the democratic process and impose their will on people regardless of public support.

Did you read the original post?

If you didn't that may be why you don't know what CISPA is...

...If that still doesn't answer your question then Google it.

Unless that was sarcasm then move along.

"The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws" (Tacitus, Roman Historian, 55-117 A.D.) Things repeat because the underlying problem remains still - the Financial-driven "Economy" model highly prone to corruption of all sorts. Research "Resource-Based Economy" (also known as Natural Economy), a new model of rational, politics-free social model instead of politics-heavy models of the past (Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism, whatever). “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” (Richard Buckminster Fuller)

One thing is clear.

The Internet scares the heebies out of the elite and their siccophants in Governments.

Yeah, it kinda sucks when your lies are exposed minutes after you utter them.

They will kéep trying this. Europe, on the other hand, seems to go the other way. Just recently the EU forced sites to tell people browsing, where they were tracked, and how.

One has to specifically enáble tracking-cookies now in f.i. The Netherlands. Google et all almost got a heart-attack from that one. That was fun.

Agreed on this, freedom of speech is very dangerous for those with secrets.

Maybe the upper elites are even more terrified of their paid for politicians/pawns pointing the finger at their masters (the elite, using the internet) as the citizens come after them (politicians/leaders) for any SHTF scenario.

While you were distracted... CISPA plan to let feds receive confidential data wins big House vote

Don't worry, though. The White House will veto it, just like they vetoed the 2012 NDAA, right?

Thank you for posting this, I was just about to and I'm glad that someone else noticed and not just me. See what happened whenever the wool was over everyone's eyes? Your dear mother government took one more step towards invading your private life so that they can control that too.

Well if Obama lives up to his track record on promises he's made, no way will he actually veto it. But I don't think it will pass the senate anyway; way more opposition there than the house.
