I just heard on KCAL 9 they got Dorner...can't confirm yet.

Authorities responded to a report of a possible reckless driver and shots fired in Big Bear Tuesday amid police activity involving the search for a former LAPD officer wanted for three shooting deaths. Authorities did not confirm the vehicle involved in the reckless driver report belonged to 33-year-old Christopher Dorner. The police activity was reported in the 2000 block of Club View Drive, near the base of Bear Mountain ski resort.

...reckless driving? Oh Wow! News reports say that he broke into a home a tied up to two people, one got free and called police. They say he stole their car and tried to get away.

I live in the foothills of L.A. County, and I'm hearing and seeing all kinds of ait traffic headed out that way which is east of here.

Now they're saying two officers are down...one officer maybe a fish and game...still ongoing. KABC reporting Dorner may be in a cabin surrounded by police and a shootout is taking place. Also, heard suspect is on foot...so not sure what the real deal is or who it is exactly they think they have.

I didn't hear shots, but newscasters say they are hearing 100's of shots fired. Definitely something going down though.

Fish and Game Officer was shot following a home invasion at Big Bear.
Dorner allegedly stole a Dodge Pickup.

Firefight continues

On KCLA it wasn't the police scanner, it was a reporter who was live on the scene. As the firefight got closer and shots fired towards them the officer is screaming to the reporter "Get the F*** Out of Here!"

Fish and Game wardens spotted Dorner in a pickup truck off of Glass Road/Highway 38 Area in Big Bear.
They attempted to make a stop of the vehicle.
Dorner would not stop.
Gunfire exchanged.
Dorner then bailed out of the vehicle.
Firefight continued.
It is ongoing at the moment.
KCAL reporting 2 fish and game officers down.(2 Deputies have been wounded according to Juan Fernandez KCAL. Extent of injuries unknown).
2nd firefight continues.

*Carter Evans of KCAL was/is on the scene the entire time and was providing live commentary of the firefight until Law Enforcement shut him down

I can see on KABC 7 that their helicopter is trying to find out where they are, where this is supposed to be taking place...but are having some difficulty locating the scene.

KCAL is the only one with a reporter that is/was with the actual firefight.
KCAL chopper is refusing to zoom in on the firefight.

KCAL chopper is now describing it as a "Standoff situation" happening off the road on the side of the mountain in snowy terrain with a ton of trees.

Dorner may be hold up in a cabin at 7 Oaks Road and Glass Road surrounded on one side by LE according to KCAL chopper.

The currently location is relatively close to where the car was set on fire.

Sounds like no gunfire at the moment.

At least until the fire starts in that cabin. The standoff will end then.

I am listening to the radio now they say he is in a gun battle right now. They said he left 2 AR-15s in the burned out truck.

KCAL: From the roadblock on Highway 38. (3 miles away from Big Bear City) Confirmed 2 deputies have been hit by gunfire and ambulance on the scene.
