What else is there to do besides speculate? Are you trying to take all the fun out of ATS?

It's my understanding that it is still unfolding, he is still (allegedly) unaccounted for and if things go his way, this will be a drawn out scenario. I don't have a clue what is really going on outside of what they report, let's all admit the same shall we?

Hate to see ATS members focus so much time arguing with each other, while we could be instead doing research and sharing findings.

One thing I read on CNN yesterday that caught my attention was that reportedly, the parcel sent to Anderson Cooper arrived on the 1st of this month... And from what I read, the first victims were found Feb 4th.
Could CNN have prevented these murders?

that package has been mentioned more than a few times in this thread..

If they had bothered to actually act on the materials in the package, cooper could have had the most amazing expose on police corruption in..well...ever....hell, they might have even given the bastard a Pulitzer ...

CNN would have had the resources to dig up all the information Dorner referenced, and they had a goddamn DVD of the arrestee in question testifying that the officer Dorner filed the complaint against, had kicked him in the chest in face, without cause.....they could have had a hell of a story, but no...the monkey that opens his mail for him forwarded it to security, who sent it to LAPD....

what a joke.....the media ain't what it used to be...instead of investigative journalists with actual journalistic integrity, and a passion for uncovering and reporting the truth, we get anchors who read from teleprompters, newpaper men who take their queues from law enforcement and their editors, and we get anderson cooper, bill o'reilly, and piers f**king morgan....

According to CNN they handed off that package to the FBI after photocopying the contents.... Anderson didn't even know about it until the seventh.... I don't know what else they could have done...

Concerning this story. Can you tell me what is so productive about calling people names and using terms like crack pot in a childish manner ? Just because you disagree with what someone is projecting ? And what is so productive about believing anything that comes from the MSM ?

Btw this is now one of the largest threads on ATS.

And my question is: Why isn't it on the Home Page any longer at ATS? It isn't on the Home Page I get... this is a big story around the world now and presents us with a real opportunity to expose publicly in a court of law, not only the LAPD, but the militarization of police world wide.

Please ATS promote this thread, it's important to the left, right and everyone inbetween.

you were trolling with your claims of false flag with no proof...we're only getting alone now, because you're not ranting like a lunatic. you left me no choice..

you still have yet to explain HOW exactly this is a false flag...and don't gimmie any crap about how if i don't take your word for it, then i'm an idiot, or being paid to argue with you(i still can't believe you went there)...explain it to me...this is how you gt people to agree with you...you make your case in a calm, civil way, and if your claims are reasonable, and your theory has merit, you might gain some support...

just saying "it's false flag because i said so, lol, win, free speech", and making fun of anyone who doesn't just automatically agree with that assessment isn't going to get you any friends...

It makes perfect sense as swat recently got full auto M-16's in LA... Duty cops are probably getting the hand me downs as most of the gear on those guns looks 10 years old.... Including the SOCOM suppressors...

actually, it looks as if i may have made a mistake...it looks like it's the other way around...

LAPD S.W.A.T. recently started using HK416's.....prior to that, they were using the MP5, and M4 as their primaries...upon closer inspection of the weapons in the photo, it look like they're most likely modified M4's, that would have come from S.W.A.T., as hand-me-downs....

in any event, they're packing military-grade small arms now....kinda scary...all this over ONE guy...

Another user gave the breakdown of the exact make and model and how the police get these type of weapons now. Pretty scary to think California plans on having the strictest gun control laws in the country yet our police are this militarized down to using silencers and these are NOT SWAT just your average run in the mil cops.

They are military-issue SOPMOD M4 assault rifles with some aftermarket tacti-cool tosser stuff tacked on. Here's the SOPMOD kit: img.imtwelve.com... Here's some further info about the DoD's DRMO Law Enforcement program - www.dispositionservices.dla.mil... Militarizing your local law enforcement - one surplus-to-requirements firearm at a time. Good news for the criminals though - used to be an Olympic Arms semi-auto AR-15 carried by the police as a patrol rifle. Now it's a full-on military select-fire M4 carbine. Should be worth a pretty penny on LA's weapons black market. It makes LAPD officers and their vehicles nice, profitable targets for criminals to hit. Man, some agencies are staffed by freakin' idiots. Edit: the things hanging off the muzzle of the weapons are SOCOM flash/sound suppressors. The year 2001 called - they want their formerly state-of-the-art military weapon accessories back. Quite unfashionable. Worst part is, these aren't SWAT cops, these are normal beat cops and these are their issued weapons. This I can tell from the lack of any real customization on the weapons. Plain jane stock and pistol grip, SOPMOD Block 2 (?) railed fore-end and I thought I saw a PMAG (which could have also come through DRMO).

couldn't find his original post buried under all the new pages but he deserves the credit for the info.

Charlie Sheen wants to do his part to bring ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner into custody safely ... so he's recorded a video plea asking the wanted man to call him to talk things out.

Dorner -- who is accused of killing three people including a cop -- mentioned a number of celebs in his online "manifesto," and wrote about Sheen, "Charlie Sheen, you’re effin awesome."

Sheen recorded the message to Dorner yesterday, saying, "You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words. I am urging you to call me. Let's figure out together how to end this thing." Dorner is still currently at large

Do you all think he is out in the woods or in a bunker somewhere, or indoors with electricity? Or perhaps on the move with alternate transports?

Will they resort to more widespread door to door searching? Are they using drones yet?

I noticed that too, but maybe it is a question better posed in board and business?

Yep aside from the media failing in their usual ways, he sent a challenge coin with a shot group in it. This could easily be deemed lethal intent, arrived days before the murder, so when the parcel was opened and when it was sent to authorities comes into question (which may have already been answered).

It's not just on here though. Check out #dorner or #lapd on twitter, tons of support for him. Especially from those in LA.

I use Twitpipe. It lets me view three live twitter feeds at the same time. Whenever a big event is going on, it's a great place to catch news bursts. During Hurricane Sandy, it was moving faster than I could keep up.

Just a tool that I thought the members of ATS might like to add to their tool kit!

I drove for 4 years with no front plates in North County (San Diego) with no issue. I did get pulled over for driving with my back plate upside down. I drove around with it upside down for about 8 months. It was a peaceful prostest of how upside down this state is.

What I dont get about this whole deal is why its been left to the LAPD to catch this guy?

Last I heard he was holed up in the mountains somewhere and for one cops are trained in urban warfare NOT guerilla warfare such as the like this psycho has declared. Secondly, sending the very people after him that he has declared war on is playing right into his game. They are really asking for a high body count the way this is currently being handled.

A quick easy way to sort this guy out would be to send in a Special Forces team from the military. Half a dozen specialists should do it. They will not only be able to track him, but they would cut him down like a little bitch, and there would likely be no loss of life, except his, which he and no-one else cares about anyway.

Game over.

Wow...this thread has grown! Glad to see the discussion is still open as well
It seems though, we have (the public) come to a dead end thus far in this fiasco IMO.

Dorner, hasn't made a move yet and I really don't see that he will or can make any future moves YET! Hopefully, he didn't murder those folks in the first place and is laying low somewhere with a hoard of witnesses that can tell everyone he never murdered anyone.

Just my wishful thinking I guess.

Immediately after I posted this I got a warning on my computer that visiting this website may infect your computer with a virus before the next page loaded!!!! All the years I have come here I've never seen that before and my computer isn't wide open either...anyone else have this happen?

The LAPD isn't in charge in San Bernadino County... They're just assisting.... As far as the spec ops thing goes I don't think he's done anything to endanger national security.... If he starts blowing up buildings or something we might see that, but there is protocol for situations like this.....
