This thread is about The Number 13

The Number 13 is said to have powerful symbolic, numerologic, and esoteric wisdom.
It is one of the numbers of the fibonacci sequence, as well as there has recently been a 13th Zodiac Ophichius.
It can be found in Sacred Geometry, Nature, and the Cosmos.

We are told that 13 is an unlucky number. The date Friday the 13th is taboo because the Knights Templar were arrested and condemned by the seneschals of Philippe IV, King of France, in a "pre-dawn raid" on Friday, October 13th, 1307. The number 13 has been shunned for centuries. Some architects omit the 13th floor from office buildings to this very day. Is it possible that the folklore associated with the number 13 is absolutely apocryphal? Or that it has become a demonized numeral precisely because it was sacred in pre-Christian times? Think about it. It is an oddly recurring sum. 12 apostles and a messiah. 12 Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur. The number 13 recurs too consistently in such significant contexts to be purely arbitrary. And of course, it’s not.
Thirteen

The symbolic meaning of number thirteen receives a shady interpretation in Norse myth, when an honorary banquet was held in Valhalla for Baldur (god of nobility, redemption and admirable strength) among other twelve Norse gods. Loki (the trickster) came to the banquet as the uninvited thirteenth guest. Afterwards, we learn Baldur was slain by Höðr who, to execute the god, was given a magic spear by Loki.

The "Flower of Life" can be found in all major religions of the world. It contains the patterns of creation as they emerged from the "Great Void". Everything is made from the Creator's thought. The flower of life holds a secret symbol created by drawing 13 circles out of the Flower of Life.
By doing this, one can discover the most important and sacred pattern in the universe. This is the source of all that exists; it's called the Fruit of Life. It contains 13 informational systems. Each one explains another aspect of reality.

Sacred Geometry: Flower of life

Metatron's Cube is a modern New Age name for a three-dimensional geometric figure composed of 13 equal circles with lines from the center of each circle extending out to the centers of the other 12 circles. Some New Age teachers call a variant of this figure the Fruit of Life.

Ophiuchus is one of thirteen constellations that cross the ecliptic. It has therefore been called the '13th sign of the zodiac'.
Ophiuchus is located between Aquila, Serpens and Hercules, northwest of the center of the Milky Way. The southern part lies between Scorpius to the west and Sagittarius to the east. In the northern hemisphere, it is best visible in summer. It is located opposite Orion in the sky. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man grasping a serpent; the interposition of his body divides the snake constellation Serpens into two parts, Serpens Caput and Serpens Cauda, which are nonetheless counted as one constellation.

And its as they say
carbon the building block of life has 6 protons 6 electrons and 6 neutrons.
when carbon has 6 protons 6 electrons and 7 neutrons its atomic mass equals the magical number 13.

Its as i say we are born as the 6, and we strive to be the 7.
When we attain the 7 and add it to our 6 we become the 13.

616 supposedly the "devil's number" equals 13 when adding it up.

Jesus had 12 disciples, but there was another who was evil/rebellious (Judas - 13).

The lunar calender (calender based on the moon, rather than the sun) has 13 months.

The moon is usually associated with The Dark Feminine.

I'm not saying it is an "evil" number. I'm just saying there seems to be more negative associations than positive.

Numbers refer to systems/structures and materials/physical-things (counting STUFF). Numerology seems to be more of a physical concept than a spiritual one.

The number thirteen.

It us usually used for numbering houses or floors. Numbers of trains or whatever. It is able to reach the number thirteen through mathematics. If thirteen was the same for everyony forever, what a screwed up world this would be.

I was born on Friday the 13th. I cannot be superstitious about it. However on my 13th birthday I went bowling and accidentally dropped a 13 pound bowling ball on my own face. I still cannot explain that.

No, I do not believe so.

Most of the associations with the number seem to be negative though, including that the ruling elite is supposedly the 13th family, from the original 12 family rulers...
