More US Politicians Linked to International Donations (Drug Money?)

So we all are aware that the drug business is budge and that the money needs to get spent. What better way to spend it than to give it to US politicians to help the international drug dealers?

I can't help but recall when last November, California was to vote on legalizing marajuana for recreational use and it was before the voters. The week before, two high ranking Mexican officials traveled to The Hill for closed door meetings with US and California officials. Needless to say, the bill didn't pass. Made me think that there is so much money involved, money Mexico would potentially loose, if the Bill passed, that that government was doing everything in its power to stop this Bill.

And why, is Mexico even involved in these State discussions!??

I hope we continue to see more from behind this curtain be exposed (although, it Sheldon, if ever, appears on National news broadcasts)

I never voted to allow the political candidates to get money from corporations many of which are possibly shells created by special interests. Was there an election on that that I missed? How can congress pass a law like that without asking for voter approval

Forgive me for my previous post; it was in good-natured jest.

I believe you make a good point. This is the sort of conspiracy thinking I like to see, because these are the sorts of things that have repeatedly proven to be true. Our government--most governments--are deeply corrupt; corrupt in ways that the ordinary person never sees due to their overwhelming "normalcy bias."

Things are changing. I hope to see a lot more of this stuff coming out into the open soon....

Who passed the bill that allowed Corporations to give Money to Presidential Candidates??

But, at the end of the day all the Mexican Cartels were doing is creating a undercover "Campaign Fundraiser" "Interest Group" "Lobby".....either way its a payoff.

I too! We can only hope. Unfortunately, most Americans refuse to believe this kind of thing is taking place. In fact, politicians are banking (excuse the pun) on this.
When the ultra-rich corporate leaders who often are linked to main stream news are in on the laundering, there is little hope this kind of information will reach the mainstream, at least with any "credibility".
No, I'm afraid we are trapped in this system with little hope. All we can do is teach our children (without scaring them) about these inequities and give them lots of love.

Wanna stay in buisness? Gotta drop that price down - we are in a recession.

You do that- then I will deny the voters what they truly want.

As long as this stays between the two of us of course......

And stop producing that crappy shwagg- nobody smokes that stuff anymore anyways.

Canada sure wouldnt mind the buisness, esp if we start deporting their competition.

I am one of the few people who thinks letting the govt know about your habits usually doesnt end well for the
person trying to get permission to smoke something that grows wild.

...Although- that is Californias number one money maker- they could probably turn their failed state into a prosperous one. Wouldnt that be something- eventhough they are addicted to spending money they dont have for people who shouldnt be getting it in the first place.

I think the Mexican President has gotten used to telling us what to do, especially when it comes to the only thing keeping their country afloat- our addictions. Not to mention the fact that he is against us deporting his own people back home. He expects us to roll over and take it because they lost control of their country.

Without our money- the only people who lose out are the law abiding citizens of that country. Meanwhile it will be the cartels who end up with the speedboats and navigators, retiring like kings while the rest of the country sinks into a dark abyss.

Voter approval?

No, they will pass laws. YOu will get in an uproar. Then the dialogue will change on the next news cycle, maybe a bus blows up or something. Then it is all forgotten

How many people are willing to fly, despite the rope and grope? I haven't forgotten. And still will not fly until that is changed.
