what happens when you are labeled mentally defective for events stemming from your military service will you willingly "lock your self up for life" for the good of us all major? and before you say you dont have any illness are you sure you dont meet any of the criteria of the DSM www.dsm5.org... en.wikipedia.org...

But there is overwhelming epidemiological evidence that the vast majority of people with psychiatric disorders do not commit violent acts. Only about 4 percent of violence in the United States can be attributed to people with mental illness. This does not mean that mental illness is not a risk factor for violence. It is, but the risk is actually small. Only certain serious psychiatric illnesses are linked to an increased risk of violence.

The first group of "crazy people" that need to go are those trying to take the guns away- the people who were likely the intent and motivation for the 2nd Amendment in the first place: the government bent on picking and choosing which parts of the Constitution they want to pay attention to and ignoring those they don't. If they can't enforce and adhere to the law of the land, any other conjectures and codifications they put forth bear no relevance to or influence over the people they serve.

And the next group of people that need to go are the citizens who refuse to respect the Constitution. If you don't like it, there's a process to change it. So, organize and let's put it to a vote of the people.

Explanation: Uhmmm?

who gets to define what a "dangerous personality disorder"

That we leave to the doctors the trained medical experts.

That is probably unwise because ...

Doctors kill 2,450% more Americans than all gun-related deaths combined (by winterkill posted on 4-2-2013 @ 05:39 PM) [ATS]

:shk:

Personal Disclosure: And we are all crazy according to the DSM-IV/V and we are also on a prison planet so there is no need for you proposal to be acted upon as it is already taken care of ok.

Bwahahahahahahaha!

Which version? The 1670's doctors and trained medical experts? Or the 1920's? What about the 1970's?

Oh... wait... I guess we are the first generation that truly has it all correct and won't let "trained" people subject those they simply don't understand to horror that wouldn't be necessary if they weren't so convinced they were so highly trained and such experts.

I know the "experts" in my field. They are the furthest behind.
