Keyhole
There is another reason It's called Keyhole...
It has to do with the motorized movement of the Dishes on the ground.
When a bird is making a 90degree pass, the Dish starts looking at one horizon,
follows the bird all the way up to 90 degrees, then TURNS, like turning a key, which then allows it to then follow the bird down to the opposite
horizon..
A KEYHOLE PASS...is what we used to call it...
There was always some concern over "cable wrap" when this happened..
You don't the Dishes to turn the same way more than once, or...you stand a chance of disconnection, or breaking the cables...
