Shooting at Coweta Ok. school

hi all

I saw this jusr come accross the wire..

Amother shooting at a school.. I dont know if anyone is dead.. gonna try and find more info

Coweta police have confirmed there was a shooting at the Coweta Intermediate School.

Police are on scene and have secured the area. Parents say the school contacted them and said the 9th Grade center will be closing and they are releasing 9th grade students on the north side of the high school. The high school and junior high school are still in session.

Is that what happened? I wonder what the details are. At least he or she didn't take it out on everyone else....Anything like this is very sad news.

School related shootings happen all the time, Not just since the Adam Lanza case, unfortunately. The only difference now is it's being blasted by media coverage in efforts to push along the current events with gun control... Sad, but true. My condolences go out to the families who lost.

So much for that "Gun Free Zone" sign working. Maybe they should make it bigger, with flashing lights on it.

Now if that 9th grader had only had the proper background check done, and the assault weapon ban still in place, this NEVER WOULD'VE............. should i continue, or have you picked up on the sarcasm yet?

Every single grade 9er should have had a gun. More guns will solve problems.

Only way to solve obesity is to make everyone around you fat.

Indications are that this was a suicide.

When people commit suicide in unusual places, it is because that place had some significance to their choice to commit suicide. Something happened to this kid at that school. Something bad. Possibly even in that very bathroom.

My prayers go out to those affected by this.

Something just dawned on me thou...

I understand the MSM is in full court press mode on the shooting/gun issue. It is blasted at us all day, every day. This could back fire on them. Americans have notoriously short attention spans. They do even worse with repetitive information. Instead of creating a moved populous, it could create a populous who simply does not want to hear about this anymore. They would become immune and ignore it. I guess that is the danger of disregarding context for sensationalism.

If only the school had armed security guards.
