The Obama admin is daily destroying American's ability to make a decent living. Of course previous admins have also done this, but the Obama admin is the worst to date because of POTUS and his friends' desire to redistribute wealth and knock America down a notch. He hates America and everything it has stood for and he spits on the Constitution.
I pray that his karma comes swiftly and in what's left of my lifetime.

For the OP...I totally agree with you, it is unacceptable for governments to give away the taxpayer's money to other countries and let your own people starve and live in the street. S+F

You are happy to take from the rest of the world. What is wrong with giving a little back...

Americans have always been among the most generous people. Americans give more to other countries, but likely you don't know that because you are buying into all the leftist Marxist redistribution propaganda. I really feel sorry for people who believe the lies.
I just get so darn sick of all the America-haters on this site.

"56 billion in foreign aid while Americans sleep on the street"

Maybe instead of bickering about gun control, gay rights, abortion and obamacare we should be discussing how to fix/eliminate this^^^ disgusting waste of tax dollars.

But as long as people continue to buy what the main stream media is selling we will continue to get fleeced.

in relation to the foreign aid figure though, i have to pick a nit with that - i fully expect that the US (via govt and corporations) has taken considerably more than that figure out of foreign nations via warfare and the subsequent exploitation of resources and awarding of tenders to rebuild what they bombed the bejayzus out of.

oh you mean like all the oil contracts Russia and China got after the war in Iraq? Ever hear of pipelineistan? Involves Russian invasion of Aghanistan.
maybe DeBeers steals from Africa.... but they are not even American.

The ignorance of people who say live like they did in 1800 and everything will be ok, when in fact it is impossible for most people to do so. .

It is actually about priorities,. It can be done but it means some of today's mod cons are not on the table.

So for those who can live without LCD HD TV and internet, then yes it can be done, you need to move into an area will that makes it possible though.

We need the manufacturing jobs back, ASAP. Things will only get worse unless that happens. NAFTA really screwed the U.S. economy. I think underemployment is as big a problem as unemployment, maybe even worse. It isn't that there are no jobs, it's that the jobs being created are not usually full time and pay minimum wage or only slightly higher. Without a living wage families are forced to accept government assistance just to survive (I think that may be what they want though, but that's a different thread). We need jobs that pay an actual living wage instead of these service sector jobs that our current government seem so proud to have created for us.

Yes you are right, the Globalists are ..... globalist and don't care about individual sovereign nations.

When you are to old to serve. They hope you only have a few years left of your life, so that you wont cost them to much.

Obama care will bring rationing. Some of it's proponents have admitted they think we need the death panels to control costs.

Quote on this webpage.

Also I found out that organizing healthcare workers into unions is part of the Obamacare plan. Why else would the Unions be exempt from something they seem to think everyone else should want?

Here's the book on it

Afraid to say OP that we do the same daftness in Britain, for some rather ridiculous reason we supply numerous countries with foreign aid while people also sleep on our streets and others never get homes that could be built with the same money.

What annoys more is that the money goes to countries who either don't need it or are so corrupt we KNOW the money never see's the very people it was for yet we continue to pump money towards them.

Would it not be better labelled military aid, rebel aid, bribe money or whatever.

Hell, we even give Europe 50 million A DAY and get nothing back...

How stupid are we all....

I've read through most of the posts in this thread, and I have to say, I'm starting to lean more and more towards the direction of housing becoming a basic human right. I'm not saying that everyone deserves their own mansion, but if requested, basic shelter should be a human right. I think that's something that we can realistically see happen within our life times. And honestly, it's really not much to ask for. 4 walls and a bed. If you want better you go out and earn better.

according to what I just listened to from another thread here , the reason they have given billions away while citizens sleep on the streets is a tranfer of your wealth to third world nations under the guise of agenda 21

I agree...with both of you.

People need a leg up sometimes; but welfare does make people lazy...maybe Walmart and fast food, fly-by-night service jobs where you still need assistance programs like food stamps, but the employer gets away with slave labor wages is not the best system (corporo-fascist socialism).

The banks should be lending to people more readily; but if you gave every poor person in the US a $5000, the price of efficiency rent, red bull, bus tickets, grape flavored Dutch wrappers and Box o' Corn Syrup Solids Crunch will just go up from Bakersfield to Newark and back down to Tuscaloosa. Maybe the banks should also not have access to imaginary money if the people don't.

It's nice to do things for other people, but how does it help a weak economy to flood it with 1000s of Johnson Family Reunion Ts, "My AlmaMater's Logo Here" hats and canned food and grain that the small time farmer down the street could be selling into his own local market? Perhaps letting native pathways to locally-minded systems establish themselves would be better without constant US / Neo-Colonial interference, but, hey, bet it makes the heroine and/or gun money more "launderable"...for freedom and democracy!

I'll take it and raise you "land". Why should anyone want a government tenement? I agree with your sentiment wholeheartedly (both sides of it...if you want better [different] go out and get it), but I disagree that the city is the place to do it.

We're the only animal that is born without being able to "be" where it is. Of course a quick and sudden death is also a potential outcome to being born, but the other side of that is that Squirrels, pigeons, cheetahs, gazelles, tapirs, wombats and mudskippers all have instant land upon birth. They're gonna have to fight to keep it, but from day 1 their habitat is their home. What squirrel do you know that pays rent???

We on the other hand are content with a system where not only are you born with no land to call your home - a false habitat, you may never actually work up enough money after your whole life to even by some 1/64th acre lot in a slum somewhere.

Give a poor person food stamps and retailers will be happy and bloated. Give a poor person arable land and he can provide for himself ...no need for Walmart or McDonalds...they no likah thatta idea so much.

Was it Mark Twain that said "Land is the one thing everybody wants that they're not making any more of." Or at least it was something along those lines. Glad I have some land of my own that my parents have, even if it is just a few acres.

Sounds familiar. Thing about humans is we seem to like to hoard land and, unlike any other creature on this planet, through the invention of fences, guns, CCTV and trip wires, we're also the only ones that can be removed in time and space from the land we "own".

Gov knows they can't spend their fake worthless money here. So they take their fake monopoly money to other countries to gain assets. Biggest scam ever. All that money is nothing but a number on a green screen somewhere backed by nothing. Only backed by in hopes of all of us to pay more and more into taxes to support their scheme. Think about it. The gov been caught dealing in drugs. They been caught dealing in guns. They been caught red handed more then once. Thieves all of them.

Had to spend some time on your links to get a understanding of how people think; is the government goal.

Obama care is about changing the whole structure of economics in the US. It is about setting up a whole new structure to be able to controll peoples wages, peoples rights and the government ability to tax wages directly. Not just within health care, but within the whole busnisses structure and within all business and trade. This is what the unionisation will be used for.

The whole middle class will notise the effects the most. These people will earn a fixed amount each month, because of the unionisation, and will also be taxed a fixed amount; on each monthely wage directly . Depending on their houshold debt. They will most likely be taxed from 30 to 47% directly from their monthly wages.

This system will bring in a lot of tax money to the government. And it will restrict people ability to take up more debt than they can afford. And buy with more care. Working hour will be a set so that no worker must work more than that set amount.

This system will make free people feel like government servants with negotiated rights. Where the union negotiate on your behalf. The bad thing about this is that over time the union will act in the intrest of the employer.
And work as a barrier between its own members and the employer. Because the distence between employee and employer gets bigger. The employee must go through a exstra channel to negotiate.

The greater the distence the further one has to go to negotiate personal intrests. You are less likely to succseed because of all the barriers. This will increase government en employers power to manage its own busniss structure and goals without distractions form the bottom.

Pure and simple, foreign aid is used to buy political or regional influence, and rarely given and followed through with in catastrophes. Every recent tragedy of a natural nature has been capitalized upon by government officials in a Hollywood kind of way as benevolent saviors, and initially aid is sent. TV clips of benevolent politicians saving the destitute elevate these in the eyes of the public, to the role of truly caring, sympathetic humanitarians. But it's always done with 'someone else's money', and at no cost to them personally.
Where it's political as in national civil wars, we always wish to appear as fighting Tyranny, and liberating the citizens from a brutal overlord.

It's mostly Bribery Money, that can't be denied.

Meanwhile Americans fall through the cracks in to destitute poverty. Not all are career welfare recipients. Nor are they the recently in 'Vogue' entitlement abusers. And you know who ought to be paying these Foreign Aid benefits..... The War Machine who causes all this chaos and destruction. Caused in their wholesale profiteering and manipulation of Foreign governments. Selling to both sides I might add. And who very likely initiated the conflicts covertly.
People can feel remorseful for their governments behavior (I'm talking about us, the US) and feel some sense of relief by donating to those who have become casualties of war, absolving ourselves of responsibility. Just throw money at it and brag at your next garden party.

Fact is, our career Government is broken from the top down, with very few honest and truly patriotic and caring individuals. And they are often portrayed as fringe nuts. So the good get squashed in favor of the entrenched self serving many. The many believe they can't be blamed, hiding with their anonymity in the many.

Be the change you want......fight the good fight. but remember in every fight there are casualties, you might be called to give blood for a Just cause. Teach your children well...
