So I woke up this morning and checked my bank account... It turns out I'm pretty broke. Depressing a little bit but I have learned that things usually get even worse when you start feeling sorry for yourself, so I start browsing online and this is what I found...

It turned out actually that I have more money in my checking account than the whole country of Zimbabwe. Nice! I thought to myself.

It might appear like the finance minister is lying about the 30 million deposit, but I disagree... what he is doing is applying the Law of Attraction.

I just remembered that someone owes me a a million dollars and will deposit it straight into my checking account.

Ahhh.... Life is wonderfull!

Zimbabwe finance minister admits: 'We've only got £138.34 in the bank'

Zimbabwe's finance minister has taken a hard look at the cash strapped country's bank accounts - and discovered it only has £138 and 34 pence left. Tendai Biti made the announcement at press conference yesterday declaring: 'Last week when we paid civil servants there was $217 in government coffers.'

------------------------------------

However, Mr Biti today contradicted his claims by saying that the poor state of the country's finances only lasted a day. Speaking to the BBC, he said the following day about $30m of revenue was paid into the government's accounts.

From the source:

Result is culmination of years of ruinous economic policy by Zimbabwe's despotic President Robert Mugabe

So how is it that the despotic president of a failed African nation is still doing better than the despotic presidents and/or ministers of the great Western nations? At least Zimbabwe's in the black....
