One of our nation’s greatest military heroes fell tonight, allegedly at the hands of another veteran suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Chris Kyle, a former Navy Seal sniper with 255 kills (160 confirmed kills) in Iraq, was one of two men reported murdered at an Erath County, Texas shooting range earlier Saturday evening. A suspect, identified as Eddie Routh, 25, was arrested in Lancaster, Texas after a police chase.

This is also the guy who claimed to have punched Jesse Ventura. Jesse has been going through the court process to get his name cleared. I'm not sure what really happened, but I believe Jesse may be telling the truth. Either way, still said to see an American Hero go down. This sniper has killed more than 160 people during his ten year career as a Navy SEAL.

Ill state it here on your thread too , I honestly do not feel any remorse for this man , it's strange how things work out , he is known as a lire , and he also has 160 confirmed kills under his belt , some of wich were women , i think its a small price to pay for the lives that he took , and that's just the way the world turns sorry ATS thats just how i feel ......

did i read the article correctly and it said he was killed at a shooting range?!?!?! shooting a sniper of his calibur at a shooting range must have taken balls ive never heard of some one being shot at a shooting range out side of the 2nd predator movie......

First, please learn proper spelling and grammar. A cell phone isn't an exuse to type the way you have here.

His killing of men and women was only in situations where they were threatening his fellow soldiers and Americans. I'm guessing you're probably not an American. Regardless of whether you agree with your duty or not, you still follow orders, and that's what he was doing - and keeping his friends safe. The soldiers don't get to choose their wars and battles.

It's pretty disgusting to me that you see him as a mass murderer. War is war, not murder. Whether it's a declared war or not, killing hostiles to yourself and compatriots is not so much murder as self defense. Unless you can pick out a moment where he was killing people for fun in the middle of an Afghan market, and drinking their blood or something, I'd say he's more of a hero and less than a murderer.

You and others who think this way are the reason the world sucks, because of these and other political, economic, and social issues on which you end up taking the side of the tyrants and socialists who are pulling your strings, rather than reading up on history and coming to your own conclusions. Please, try and have an original thought at least once in your bleeding-heart of a life.

Second , i don't believe my spelling has anything to do with this Topic , and i am an American , born and raised . my brother is a 3 time war vet , and i have seen the full impact it has had on him and our family , i know the truth about what was going on both in Kosovo Afghanistan and Iraq through his words and the book that he is writing . and if he were here to see this thread , i am positive he would have the same view as me , for he is the one who opened my eyes and prevented me from going into the serves . and yes they get to chose their battles more so then the innocent man in their sites , .........this war is BS all of it ... it has wrecked many lives ..
