I think it's wrong to equate darkness and light to various states of human existence. Darkness is darkness and nothing else. Light is light and nothing else. Light and dark are adjectives describing the state of how bright something is. They are really one in the same, describing the same thing. Neither of these describe human states of awareness, knowledge, mental disposition etc. In fact, doing so confuses and abstracts the simplicity of proper and concrete nouns.

Here is the simplicity:

Light/Energy creates form (where it is A spirit [light body] or a physical body)

Darkness is the space/emptiness/stillness in which it travels. Darkness (The Formless Observer) is seeing The Light (The form).

The darkness will become aware as it remembers this and let go. You are not the dream, you experience the dream, but while you are in the dream you believe yourself to be the dream character.

Yes, the RULES of the game seem to be a bit different from the dream and here but the concept I am pointing to is false identification with appearences of light which you are not but it seems so real...

Hell ain't a bad place to be, the hall from hell, a place to rest and heal.
To live a life in which darkness is rejected, is just bogus, a living lie indeed.

Maybe we should reverse it, light is in fact a dark eternal fog, and darkness a garden of delight.
The living are unborn, the dead are living.

That is if darkness is the underworld.
