U.S. Troops denied hot breakfast in Afghanistan?

I know it has been said over and over but, hey, we didn't get fed at all sometimes, and when it did show up, it was green reconstituted eggs and some baconoid thing. Also, for those that are not aware, they do make those MREs in a version that is supposed to cover three meals, so I suppose it could be worse.

Stories like that have to come from somewhere, all soldiers have them. Green eggs and ham, man.

I am not sure why anyone cares? They switched the two hot meals from breakfast and dinner to lunch and dinner because nobody was going to the breakfast. And it was something the troops wanted.
