Indeed and I didn't honestly think you were looking for the ghoulish stuff. Some on here are though and have outright said as much for both Aurora
and CT. That mindset leaves me both horrified and disgusted.
Not so for an honest desire to understand what did and did not happen in such a tragedy taken to national levels of awareness and sympathy. We all
need to know at some point to put it behind us, as a nation. It's small to some people...but I think that was one of the most horrible spree killings
we've ever had. I hope it's not surpassed in my lifetime for circumstance.
Now on release, as I understood it, the court did set a specific date for lifting the seal on what is legally public record, didn't they? If not and
after speaking to a retired cop in that area of the nation (not directly connected to this) to get an idea of how/what could be happening behind the
scenes for why cops are putting up with it.....I came away with one solid feeling.
The Cops can be shut up by order ......for awhile. They can have political reality trump everything else for a period of time because it's their
pension and their OWN families future if they do not follow along to get along. Having said that? I have zero question in my mind that if this were to
start falling away with major facts hidden like lesser incidents have in the past? An actual percentage
of first responders and those involved
in the investigation would burn their pensions and call it a fair deal to insure no guilty party walked away from this bloodbath. Especially for
political reasons which I've NEVER known cops to have much tolerance for in the first place.
We'll know the details eventually. It'll just take some time for things to work through and the politicians to play the time they CAN get from this
to say this happened how it best supports their legislative agendas. It won't hold forever, or even very long, IMO. Hence the RUSH RUSH RUSH on gun
regulation, to my thinking.
