Okay, so if the cops enforce bad laws and are merciless in doing so they are bad cops. (which I won't at all disagree that the nation has entirely
too many of). However, if they throw their badges in the trunk and say 'screw this' to take care of their own family and help their neighbors in a
time of true crisis rather than bust heads and kick butt during something like Katrina, they are cowards?
You realize you basically leave Police Officers with NO way to win in your view, right? Damned if they do and damned if they don't ....right or
wrong.
How does that translate to this thread topic directly? If they enforce the laws to confiscate whatever guns are banned in the first waves of new
regulation, they are evil, bad and out to get us ..... but if they don't enforce the laws they're cowards in this situation as well? I'm not
reading you well on that part. You might also consider WHY so many cops develop an "us vs them" mentality.
In general though, my Father was a cop for 15 years. It means I spent my whole life into my mid teens around law enforcement and cops. I take a
slightly different view of the world (A VERY different view in some cases) as a result. I've certainly had some bad experiences in life with bad cops
but I've known some of the best people in life who happened to wear a badge and do a really thankless job SOMEONE has to to do, as well.
Good and Bad everywhere......and hating ALL cops is like hating ALL of any group. ignor....oh never mind.
