you've no idea why Israel would attack Syria? You said it yourself - Zionist bankers. Isn't it funny how Libya who under Gadaffi had one central bank - now they have 16 all owned by Jews...

Its actually air defense old tactics, they intentionally “turn off” the radar to prevent (signature reading) by the enemy.

This tactic is mostly important since they don’t have a real” face to face war”, loos a few but save the big bang for the real one,

That doesn't mean that the Syrian turn off their surveillance radars. They still, like any other country, have to monitor their airspace be it for military or civilian purposes. The civilian radars will also be linked into the air defence systems as part of general surveillance and back up.

The Syrians will still have their surveillance radars working as per normal. The parameters of such air defence surveillance radars are well known just the same as Syria will monitor the Israeli surveillance radars as routine. The intended plan it to be warned of intruders and then those in charge of air defence will light up other systems such as local fire control and surveillance.

The Isreali's are masters of the game here in regards to electronic warfare and the Syrian know it. Not a lot the Syrians can do when their surveillance radars and networks get spoofed and jammed. By the time they try and get a heads-up on the situation the attack is over.

Nothing unusual in the high altitude sunlit contrail footage. Syrian airspace is still open to commercial flights and they will route around and over Damascus. The ring contrails will likely be Syrian Air Force flying orbit and racetrack. Either for combat air patrols after the Israeli attack or air recce for monitoring of rebel activity.

See the playback facility on Flight Radar 24. Several airlines use the upper air routes in and around Damascus. That includes flight by Middle Eastern Airlines from the US to the likes of Dubai.

www.flightradar24.com...

Depending on when the footage was filmed you will see clusters of airliners transiting Syrian Airspace on the 31st January. During late 05 UTC these three airliners went through as a cluster. There is also later activity if the filming was before sunset. Damascus is two hours ahead of UTC / Greenwich Mean Time.

'Airline: Emirates
Flight: EK222
From: Dallas, Fort Worth (DFW)
To: Dubai, Dubai (DXB)
Aircraft: Boeing 777-21HLR (B772)
Reg: A6-EWB
Altitude: 37000 ft (11278 m)
Speed: 495 kt (917 km/h, 570 mph)

Airline: MEA Middle East Airlines
Flight: ME426
From: Beirut, Beirut (BEY)
To: Dubai, Dubai (DXB)
Aircraft: Airbus A320-232 (A320)
Reg: OD-MRL
Altitude: 26075 ft (7948 m)

Airline: Middle East Airlines

If the MSM started telling truth, Israel would be a wasteland within a week.

So would the whole middle east! Israel isn't the "bad guy" here. They have done questionable things just like EVERY country. It's the muslim extremists trying to take over the world, erase Israel, and force sharia law on all that are the whole problem.

Sorry but I have to side with Israel on this one. If Mexico were in the same shape geopolitically as Syria right now, and they had chemical weapons facilities, does anyone think for a minute that the US wouldn't vaporize them?

it sickens me to think its true but I really do believe it - I have no idea what Assad was like 2 years ago - how his people were treated, what there lives were like etc but I did see normal everyday Syrians refuse to talk to BBC, Fox, CNN, AP because they told such bare faced lies - I have never seen Assad on Western news shows but have seen him on Russia Today - why is this? Why won't they tell his side of the story?

We all know why!

Its because Russia are their allies and being in the region understand what is actually going on in the country unlike the Western media who have to base their news off FSA activists who are most likely also lying. Russian journalists can go to Syria right now, they can get footage and move around with Assad forces. What are the West doing? Sitting on the borders getting bs stories from paid liars in Turkey and Jordan.

They are not the problem, its our government who beef them up and then call for dialogue like we are the peace keepers when something like Syria happens. What about Sharia law in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain? Are they extremists? Some could argue they are because they are also funding the Sharia seeking extremists in Syria. What about Libya? Why was the country with the highest living standards in Africa turned into a Sharia society through western intervention? We couldn't care less whether Sharia is implemented all over the Middle East, we are only fighting people who do not serve our leaders interests.

The Syrians have released video showing damaged building and destroyed vehicles.

I see Debka have been making up the news again! Make it up news reporting Russian MiG-31s over the Mediterranean.
When will they cease with inventing stories?

Lebanese sources later reported a Russian Mig-31 fighter had crossed over Sinai Wednesday in the direction of Israel. It veered west over the Mediterranean after encountering an Israeli warning not to intrude into its air space and continued flying over Lebanon.
