Thought I would share this here.
So the pope releases a dove at the holocaust memorial and it barely manages to get away from a seagull attacking it.
Some sort of sign?
What do you all think about this.

It's an ominous sign... a sign that birds are pretty much awesome.

Oh, and that different kinds of birds are natural enemies.

Its a warning. A sign. There is always a bigger bird Zion. God has many creatures. Many white birds to do His bidding.
Hypocrisy is not rewarded anywhere but the Talmud.

I couldn't help but chuckle either.

There would be an angry gull on this particular day.

Looks like The Big Guy isn't too happy with the pope's offering of false peace.

Sad for the dove though.

I see a seagull doing a flyby. A far cry from a dove being shred to pieces or even attacked at all. Seagulls like to sweep by to check for food.

What's with the dove releasing thing?

Isnt it more peaceful to not capture a dove, transport however far from its territory then let it go lost and confused for a stupid photo op?

Every time some asshat releases a dove I just want to punch him in the face.

Dear OP,

Star and flag to you this way comes...

Although i knew i shouldn't, i couldn't help SNIGGERING and chortling after seeing that!

Apparently the Pope has an issue with Doves as the last two that he sent flying off the balcony crapped themselves and flew back to the Papale demeure! (probably scared off by all the Popes groupies screaming their heads off in the Vatican square!)

See second video and read Popes comments at the 1:19 mark

I've always been taught that the messages come through our animals and winged ones. So yes, I am inclined to believe that this may be a not so good omen.

When releasing doves for display, it is important to release a large numbers not just one. Safety in numbers.

I live at the SW coast of England and we get some big fat brave seagulls stealing food out of tourists hands.
Last year I wasn't paying attention and by the time I registered the downdraught from a gulls wings on my head, my KFC burger was out of my hands and flying away!

This is pretty funny...

We must protect those sweet doves!!!! Ban seagulls!!! Anyone caught with a seagull in their possession will be arrested and fined to the full extent of the law!!

A perfect example of good intentions thwarted by reality.

Just the title of this thread made me laugh. Oh the irony, not goldy nor bronzy, but pure irony!

So a NAZI released a dove to remember one of the holocausts?

Doesn't anyone else see the the irony in this?

It's just what it is....one bird having a go at another.....which wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been messing around with birds.

I swear....after the day i've had, on and off ATS.....if anyone reads more into this than it is.....i'm going to snap like any reasonable Brit would.....and probably make another cuppa or something whilst i mull it over.
