"The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead, a man claims on the video.
Terrorist video

"Menino reiterated estimates that between 3 1/2 and 5 million people will be drawn to this city[Boston] of 600,000 to share in the historic occasion."

'Rolling Rally' to be held Saturday

There will be a city for designed for 600k fitting 5 million. The rolling rally will be on the streets of Boston. With this many people packed so closely in the streets, over a vast area, it could be a prime target. What do you guys think?

I don't think they could produce the video and co-ordinate a serious attack with a couple days notice of the event you are worried about. Thats not to say they could'nt set a bomb or two off in an area with that many people but in the big picture it would not be an attack like threatened in the video.

It takes months if not years to set in motion a plan like 9/11 or worse.

Well Phoenix, you are implying that they havent already set the plan into motion. We have had plenty of other video's that have been released. Who knows? I keep thinking of different places where they can strike and the possibilities are just plane limitless.

I just watched Ashcrofts report "Disturbing" Intel from the CNN, website and he says something like After the new year AL-Queda said that their plan is on the way, and they also said in March that they are 70% complete...

Now thats 8 months ago, which is a long time and enough time to get from 70% to 100%, its all been said in this video here....

Ashcroft: "Disturbing" Intel

Ashcr oft Disturbing Intel Video (Windows Media,Broadband needed)
You can also change the options for dial-up 56k users, and use RealPlayer if you have it.

I have never heard about this before and it surpised me, but im guessing you Americans know about this as it seems to be telling people to be on the look out for 7 know terrorists.

Could anyone fill me in on this?

Well hell they did wait 86 years for this parade.

If thats not enough time they better give up that business.

Their plan would have to be very flexible, because I don't think they would hinge its execution based on the Red Sox winning the World Series.

Absolutely not! You know how I know this? Well during the Clinton years everyone loved us, and would dare not do something like 911. It was that evil man Bush's fault. He let it all happen.....It is all becuase of his far reaching foreign policy decisions that brought 911 on...

see how stupid that sounds.............

okay, if the terrorists DO have an attack at the parade on Sat. it will most likely NOT be as bad as they say it will be. After all, their main goal is to SCARE people, hence the TERRORists

I can give you your point if al qaida already had a plan in place to attack Boston and they implemented it to take advantage, but the plan would have been in place irregardless of the Red Sox celebration.

Once mentioned after the Madrid train attack that "streets
would run of blood", and that they were prepared 90% for an
attack on the U.S.

"The group’s message said: “We announce the good news for the Muslims in the world that the strike of the black wind of death, the expected strike against America, is now at its final stage – 90% ready – and it is coming soon, by God’s will."

Once again the threat of "streets that run full of blood" is reappearing.
But they had mentioned it would be an "unlikely, unexpected attack" for
us.
So I don't think Boston, it would be expected, perhaps we need to think
on things that are unexpected, and unlikely places.

I agree.

What makes anyone think that a muslim terrorist follows baseball close enough to know that Boston would win. I myself had to ask a buddy of mine last weekend who was the favorite and who the Soxs were playing.

A few days is not enough to plan a large scale attack. Maybe a few weeks but probably months are needed. If Boston gets hit, a plan was in place long ago and would point to a "sleeper" cell plan for every major city. Since I can't believe in this, I think Boston will be fine.

Remember... if your scared... the terrorists have won.

Um....Forgive my ignorance but isnt the final game played in the same location every year? or am I thinking of the Grid Iron Bowls?

All the same. Have truck bombs / bomb belts, will travel. There are plenty of targets to chose from. This kind of war is the advantage the attacker has over the defender. He just has to get a sniff plan "A" is compromised and scrub it, or switch to plan "B".

Please remember the IRAs message to PM Margaret Thatcher after they missed her in the 1984 Brighton Hotel Bombing Atrocity...

"Your problem is you have to be lucky every time, we only have to get lucky once"

.........you could say Bin Laden probably had that quote pinned to the wall before 9/11.

I still can't seem to get off the line of thinking that involves something like coordinated attacks on urban commerce, ie... Malls and Department stores like Wal-Mart. Not only could you fairly easily wipe out hundreds if not over a thousand or two at most malls on any given saturday, but the sudden fear of going to places like this would serve to effectively damage our economy. Thats a one-two punch.

My apologies.......what a flippant remark. How hard is do you think for someone who has been educated in the US, speaks English and understands the society to know what sort of soft targets are available.

I understand you have already become aqquainted with 19 of them

We dont have them here, but from what I have heard there is a comment I could make about good ideas that would probably get me jailed so I wont....

Better start to think on what is:
"unlikely
unexpected
not watched
not a landmark"

As this is where they stated they would attack next.

I have two opinions on this:

1) they just said that to scare everyone living in small cities with the "we're never gonna get attacked here" attitude

and

2)then again, if you think about it, you would cause more fear attacking an unexpected place than a place that could be considered a target so maybe the will actually carry this threat out as said
