That is not what they are actually saying. Homeopathic medicine is when it is sort of used as a vaccine to heep you from getting sick. Natural medicines are what the pharmaceuticals are derived from. Taking any medicine when the threat is not there is not always advisable. Some herbs and spices help immunity, this is not what homeopathy is about. Homeopathy is sort of like trying to build up an immunity to Cyanide by eating it, that takes many generations to do.

You still have not even replied to the question of how it could even possible work when there is NOTHING in homeopathic "medicine" besides water.
And why could it not just be your body itself doing the healing job???

Surely it either works or it doesn't.

Whether or not modern science can explain why or how is beside the point?

Modern science cannot explain many, many things.

Again there is the placebo effect that is something that is proven by science. Placebos only work for some people if they believe that it works. This is why such alternative treatments can be dangerous if people use them to treat serious diseases when there are effective ones that actually do work.
There are even some people out there who have somehow gotten rid of their cancer just by visualizing their immune system killing cancer cells.
Placebos can also work the other way.. You can actually get seriously ill if you strongly believe you are sick which is called the nocebo effect.

Whatever makes it work has all to do with your own mind and body and not the actual placebo.

i have actually explained it a couple times go back and look and you might want to do a little research on how homeopathy works. Here is a hint everything is energy everything we take in to our bodies is communicating something good or bad even the food we eat this is not hard to understand... And it is the body healing itself despite what supposed medicine one takes...

If you did some research you would know it does NOT actually work, it is only water.

One of my workers believed in homeopathy to the point she never had her kids vaccinated and eats all the right natural foods while using homeopathy medicine for all her and her family ills.

She is dead now...left three kids and a dad behind. She found lumps early in her breast, and went the homeopathy way for about 6 months. When it went to other parts of her body she finally saw real doctors who could only tell her she had months at best to live...she died 3 months later.

And life-time prescription pills that cause a plethora of detrimental side-effects, is not considered rubbish?

Bring it.

Water charged with the essence of medicinal herbs to be more factual about it....Whether it can be 'found' is irrelevant....

Water can store 'memory', just like DNA can.

Water has memory

Which is a unproven new age theory that makes absolutely no sense. And if it has memory then your tap water has been in contact with these very same substances already.

Prescription pills kill at least 100k+ people a year...

Heart disease from greasy, poorly managed animals of the fast food industry, kills 350k+ a year...

What is your point? To nitpick, and discredit?

Does your computer hard drive not have limited memory? Why do you think distilled water is used compared to tap water?

Tap water is laden down with all of the inorganic minerals of rocks, chlorine, fluoride, rust from pipes, and numerous other contaminants, making it incapable of absorbing anything else..That is why distilled water is better for detoxing, because it can actually be used to pick up and flush the toxins, unlike tap water...

www.cdc.gov...

and that is just from overdoses, not the inefficiency of their use...

Also, what constitutes as a valid source? Only the ones that agree with your fairy-land reality where the people in charge really give a damn about us?

The idea is not to let the delusion become so strong that you start to rely solely on it. There are helpful delusions (that are in fact a sort of habit) and then there is madness when you step completely outside of reality.

Most wester medicine is indeed centered around profit and this does include deception and profiteering, from abusing drugs to unnecessary operations or even operations that will not have a beneficiary impact on the patients quality of life (like the recent thread on ATS about operation on cancer patients).

Cancer is really unpredictable to a large degree, any operation due to cancer (even a biopsy) will incur a risk on promoting spreading of cancer cells. There are certain ages that it makes no sense in incurring the risk of aggravating any negative possibility. If the evolution of the problem is not immediately life threatening (beyond the expected life span) or the curse of treatments and possible secondary effects would make it not in the best interests of the patient. This is also a problem with privatizing medicine, insurances will promote the most aggressive solution as a way to reduce long term costs, its do (fix) or die (from the fix).

One that is not full of silly newage nonsense, that is suitably peer reviewed.
