Hi all,

Your local bread based super hero and purveyor of breakfast food has decided to show off their little arty-farty things they do while bored.

Behold: Cross stitch Avengers!

Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow:

Steve Rogers/ Captain America:

Clint Barton/Hawkeye:

Iron Man bookmark/banner:

Loki bookmark/banner:

I'm currently working on the Hulk, but I'm all out of black floss for the time being... These are actually practice pieces on vinyl aida, meaning I might change some colors later on, or just forgo the black stitching and use backstitch thread for their outlines...

These patterns I got from the Dork Stitch Blog: dorkstitch.blogspot.com...
and Avengers Patterns are here:

I also have a golden retriever pup as well that I'll get up when finished.

Brilliant! They look ace!

I love cross stitching, so relaxing. At the moment I got plans to do some oldfashioned flower borders on simple towels, but have put it on hold due to kitten being young still (I remember try to stitch when mytomcat was little - threads all over the house and shredded fabric!!!).

Luckily I'll be getting a craft room at my new shop (currently doing up the shop, next stop workshop, then craft room last. Ack), so I should be able to do any craft there in peace without dogs and cats trying to chew up all my stuff.

Have you done any large projects?

I made a garden snowman for my mom once, and I did try working on a cat in a garden for my grandma...but that was way in high school.

Right now, I am sort of working on a cross stitch I got for christmas:

Cool!

I love cross stich, embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery etc. Crafts are so relaxing...until you make a mistake. LOL
I also love making jewelry, gift baskets etc.

I had to google silk ribbon embroidery... I was thinking along the lines of "emroidery on ribbons"
! Beautiful stuff - some amazing pieces people have made.

I, I, I, can't cross stitch, but I can make quilts.

Your work is awesome. I wish I could do that. I've tried.

As long as it's crafty, you'll always get a star and flag from me!

Keep it up. The lost arts need not be forgotten.

Aww thanks Druid!

No worries there, I still get a bit of tangles, but my maa taught me well. She made a cross stitch Nativity scene for our church.

The thing you have to remember is a stitch in time saves 9, and take each color at a time...That's what I do.

OBLIGATORY BUMP ALERT

After a long time of supplying powdered toast to citizens, I finally have had time to finish up some cross stitching to share:

First we have Thor's little sheet of an adopted brother, Loki Laufeyjarson:

Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury as Samuel L Jackson:

And last but not least, Mister Hammertime himself (Mjolnir not included)

Here's all of them together:

And to tie up this post, I'm sharing this bluebird I made for my grandma's birthday in a few weeks:
