The series of books of Dune was my first real love on sci-fi.
The movie did not do it justice,in my opinion.

Sci-fi books versus the movie adaptations would be a good thread.

I love the Dune series.

Movie was disappointing.

Did you see the miniseries though. They did a pretty good job with that.

My only complaint is it didn't go to book 6!

The animation is very Terry Gilliam/Monty Python-esque.

To OP: All these sci-fi movies, I believe I'm going to have a busy time watching these. Especially going to finish A Boy and his Dog, Logan's Run, and Outland.

As a child, tender age of 3, I would sneak downstairs to catch the midnight show on our little black and white, 3 channel TV.

I always loved sci fi, my dad got me watching the original Star Trek series. Today I feel blessed to have been able to watch the show when episodes were new!

I instilled the log of sci fi in my youngest daughter. Her favorite movie is Logan's Run and she's only 19.

She also loves Soylent Green and sees it as a warning to all.
