Well if you new what left-wing actually means, and the history of it you would know there is no left-wing in government. Unfortunately you get your
definition from the right-wing establishment. I think that is what most of you fail to understand, the establishment is the right wing, the people
are the left wing. The establishment cannot be left-wing because that would be suicide, why would the democrats support something that would
inevitably mean them losing their power? All governments are, by the original and true meaning of left and right, right wing.
Obama and the demorats are liberals, and...
"Liberalism is not socialism and never will be" - Winston Churchill
as the Liberal Party representative for Dundee, 1908. We all know Winston
was a conservative.
For a political party to be truly left-wing it would be a party who represents the workers, and is actively working towards worker ownership. There
hasn't been a political party like that since the UK Labour Party first started.
It started as a worker ran party, to represent the workers. But like all left-wing parties of that time, post-WWII they became liberal, and forgot
all about any ideas of socialism.
If you would look at the history of the working class labour movement, instead of governments and authorities, you would see that it is where the true
left was, and it wasn't liberalism. But you won't look at that history will you?
Afraid it might "convert" you. I know, because I was you at one time, closed minded and refused to even listen to anything 'left-wing'. It's because
we are conditioned to think like that. The PTB didn't want a repeat of the Spanish Revolution. They don't want workers thinking they don't need the
boss. Slaves have to be kept in their place.
