Build a snowman by order of the GOVERNMENT! Environment Agency urges homeowners to pile up ice and prevent flooding by delaying thaw

Apparently this should help with the big thaw.
They don't say how they will tax them yet

Read about it here

I saw a thread the other day, that said people would be going to war over resources like water. We need to make more of this resource. The waste of such a precious resource is a scandal

I agree
Grab a shovel I'll mark the way to my car, you can keep what you shovel.
Seriously though with the leaks in the pipes and the cost of water it's scandalous.

Do they expect us all to make 100 tonne snowmen or something, I really dont get it???? How can this prevent flooding? Maybe we should all use snow for making cups of tea and coffee, or boil it all for our bath's.

A better idea would be to find your local torie politician and stuff a load down the back of their saville row suit.

I somehow think the UK will be ok in times like that, but I suppose you never know what could be around the corner.

Kind of....

But the real scandal is that half of the water collected by the water companies is lost through leaks in their pipes before anyone ever gets to drink it. Fine them heavily and you'll solve the water problem in the UK very quickly.

This is what happens when The Tories and their clones (Tony Blair's New Labour), privatise everything. Bad service at increased prices. Just like the trains these days.
