Masked

Do you really think you know who I am?

Do you honestly believe that I have a plan?

I am just going through the motions.

I wish...oh I wish I had more devotions.

Everything around swirls in my mind.

All that swirls becomes so entwined.

The very thought of living a lie.

Scares me deeply...my very self gives out a sigh.


I wear a mask everyday.

Saddens me...truly and forever.

Beautifully written. The topic of "masks" in this respect have always interested me.
Like learning the true personality behind someone which differs greatly from how they present themselves to the public eye.

Lovely poem nat. Masks are sometimes what keeps us going when we don't want to. It would be great to take it off once in a while and run free.
