Thanks, I have a reading list, I will definitely add those to it. Also, any particular suggestions on outside reading in order to gain insight into the intentions of the founding fathers?

Start with the Federalist Papers.

S&F

It seems you have shed your skin, so to speak, of the pitfalls of ism's.

Just remember, the other side of the spectrum holds the same folly.

How You Figure >?

Is 2+2=4 true?

Yes, but I used math to show how low the probability was that Christianity was the one true faith...

No you didn't.

You posted a long list of religions and nothing more.

Well most of them think they are the One Way, so I gave them all the same weight, although I give more weight to some of the Eastern ones that consider themselves one way of life out of many. At least they are being honest about it, and that leads to more realistic belief systems.

I can assure you that what Obama means by "forward" is forward into marxism. Obama was raised by marxists, his mentors such as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn are avowed marxists, former members of the SDS-Weather Underground. I knew them in the early 70s as a member of the SDS myself.

I know how these people think and what their goals are, and how they manipulate terminology to deceive people.

If you were able to change your perspective - are others not also capable of modifying their beliefs ?

So I'm just using simple math to decide on the probability of one of those religions being correct, and placing it as less than 1%.

How?

There can be 50 million competing religions, all claiming to be the one and only true one.

But only one can be, since there can be only one absolute truth in any matter.

That is why I asked the other fellow if 2+2=4 is true or not?

If it is true, then it is absolutely true.

Not 2+1=4, or 3+6=4 or any other combination.

Out of the possibl2 combinations, only ONE can be absolutely true.

Yes, once they discover the truth of a matter as I did.

Wrong. What I said about Obama and the SDS is not a "viewpoint", it is the truth.

Sure they do. I said that earlier.

so I gave them all the same weight, although I give more weight to some of the Eastern ones that consider themselves one way of life out of many.

Why would you do that when they believe such different things and make such different claims?

At least they are being honest about it, and that leads to more realistic belief systems.

How are they "being honest about it"?

Explain what you mean and please be specific.

There is another option that you are not considering .......

They may all be wrong.

Really, only one?

Funny, the Meat and Potatoes of Most Religions are the Same.

You have yet to tell me exactly HOW the "meat and potatoes of most religions are the same".

Or maybe, you are just here to throw rocks instead of engaging in actual dialogue.

Not really, I have considered they can all be wrong.

That is why inspection of the claims and inspection of the evidence is necessary. Which is exactly what led me to Christ.

All could be wrong, but not all right, indeed.

Well, think of it this way. Type this into Google: "the answer to life the universe and everything"
Okay so that is 42.

21 x 2 = 42
14 x 3 = 42
6 x 7 = 42

There is an example of three different ways to get to the same answer. And even this massively oversimplifies things.

Unfortunately, since we are all humans, we all have this flaw. It really sucks. It is pretty much the NUMBER ONE FLAW humans have.
