Nice fantasy for the gun nuts.

However, in reality, if there were an uprising, it would be more like WACO TX than any thing else.

It would be fast, bloody, and the people rising up would probably lose.

The only way to be able to successfully take on the American Federal Government would be with a long, drawn out guerilla war, with small units operating independently all over the country against US military, infrastructure, and Government targets. I doubt that Ted and his buddies would have the guts to launch such a campaign.

After all, in every war where the locals have put out insurgency units rather than armies, the people in charge usually lose (including the revolutionary war, where the British really lost to small insurgency units rather than a big army).

Hmmm,I think That was tried in Canada for 270 years. It didn't work.

The people in Syria sure are having a go at it though.Along with Army units that left Assad's Army and joined the free Syrian Army.

Watch out for this guy (Ted Nugent). I've always thought there was something that just doesn't smell right about him.

Thank you! I thought I was the only sane person in this thread. Obviously most of the people commenting here know little about actual combat and what it takes to lead soldiers. Following someone into combat because he is a crazy right wing gun nut isn't a very smart decision.

Now I probably wouldn't mind fighting side by side with the Nuge. However I don't want to ever be placed under his command unless he can prove himself on the battlefield first.

First where do you get your facts?

U.S military stregnth 1,456,862,000
US troop strength Afganistan 94,000
U.S troop Strength Iraq 92,000
U.S troop strength South Korea 25,800

Yes, I can deem it likely with 1,244,000 troops

Just FYI we have troops in about 135 countries around the world. We are spread pretty thin.

Here you go, United States military deployments wikipedia

There are 1,214,099[1] personnel on active duty in the United States and its territories:
So it looks like the person you quoted was really close. This doesn't even take into account all the veterans who are stateside.

Where are the numbers to base this on?Or is this just a feeling? In some countries we have less than 100 people.A lot of the quoted troops you refer to are embassy staff (guards)

Ashamed to say I used to like TN's music when I was a teen. I grew up and he didnt. Watching various interviews with him I kinda feel sorry for the old coot. All amped up but nobody is really listening to him any more. 8P

Yep that too. Saw an interview where he was asked to explain how he can be so patriotic when he dodged the draft. He started stuttering something about being young and stupid but that now he's changed. Really pathetic.

Then who would it be that would satisfy everyone? Eddie Murphy? Mike Tyson? Ventura? Glenn Beck? Ron Paul?

It is the division that gives them strength. The division of the people.

Chuck Norris.

Rambo.

Take your pick, but I'd follow either one.

Something about Ted Nugent supporting Mitt Romney for President after meeting with him rubbed me the wrong way. I thought for sure he would've supported Ron Paul or a Constitutionalist.
