Shooting on Texas college campus, reports say

news.yahoo.com

By Dylan Stableford, Yahoo! News | The Lookout – 42 mins ago

At least two students were shot at Lone Star College in Texas on Tuesday.

According to Jed Young, a spokesman for the school, the shooting "involving two individuals" took place shortly before 12:30 p.m. local time. Two students were shot in the crossfire, the spokesman said, and at least one of the suspected shooters was shot and taken into custody. The extent of their injuries were not known. A second shooter fled the campus, the spokesman said.

It's unclear if the suspected shooters were students at the school.

And here's a state that allows gun laws.

So, in all reality whether or not the government decides to ban guns or not, the shootings are just going to keep happening. Doesn't matter where you go or where you are, someone is going to get gunned down.

Now that event has officially happened in the "proud state of gun owners", I wonder, are they going keep their guns or are they going change them now that this event has occurred in the proud state of TEXAS?

What do the gun owners of Texas think about this situation?

Guns are not the problem, it's the people.

More news when it develops. Right now, nothing to go on and I got homework.

I keep telling people that.
But they won't listen.

Oh dear! My cousin attends that school. I hope no one is seriously injured and I hope they find the other shooter.

So, two shooters and one fled.

Sounds more like it's a Robbery.

Happens once a week at my campus. So far, no one has been shot at my campus. They just give up their books and possessions and the thieves nonchalantly run off like cowards.

Typical day in the neighborhood. From the looks of it.

Watch, their going to say they were mental.

You have to be in my opinion to shoot someone, nobody in their right mind just goes and shoots people like its any other day.

Everything that I have heard is that it was an argument that got out of hands, and both people were carrying. That came from Fox.

All I could think was: State that has been loudest about gun laws+high profile shooting+example of civilians carrying guns that turns out bad.

Well THAT'S convenient.

I agree that PEOPLE are the problem, not guns. However, to point out that this happened in a "gun friendly state" ignores the fact that most colleges have a policy against bringing guns into the classroom. So technically, this shooting probably happened in yet another "gun free zone."

Let me guess, Assault Rifles?

Very sad about the people caught in the crossfire, but hey maybe if THEY had guns they could have protected themselves against the culprits. Taking into account of course they were legal, and had some basic knowledge of safe gun use.
