Man there's been some bad eggs in parliament recently, seems the public don't really have a say in anything, I miss the Howard days.

1. Peter 'golden' slipper who thought he was a god until he got shafted for sexual harassment.

2. Julia 'Backstabber & Tax everything' Gillard who's always looking for her next power trip.

3. Craig 'under the table' Thomson who was getting kickbacks from the health unions.

4. Families Minister Jenny 'It was an audio background noise' Macklin who told ABC news she could live off 35 bucks a day but later made her office come up with an excuse saying she misheard the question due to a revving car in the background.

Come on Peter Slipper was questioned over a $50 cab ride while the Obeid family uses secret shareholdings to buy $400,000 cars

Maybe the "Human Rights & Anti-Discrimination Bill 2012" is meant to provide Gillard with some sort of defense in these cases(?).

Section 124 Burden of proof in proceedings under section 120 etc.
...
(2) In proceedings against a person under section 120, the burden of proving that conduct is not unlawful conduct because of any of the following provisions lies on that person:
(a) subsection 21(1) (special measures to achieve equality are not discrimination);

The other interesting piece of text in that text is this.....
"... the burden of proving that conduct is not unlawful conduct because of any of the following provisions lies on that person:" i.e., You are guilty until you prove your innocence.

Section 21 of the Bill explains special measures to achieve equality
Section 19 of the Bill also has some interesting reading (Offense to offend or insult based on protected attribute)

Seems like Obama should take some lessons. Can start my forcibly removing Rand Paul, Mitch McConnell, and John Bohner.

yes, this imitation woman needs to have the skids put under her. but maybe it does not matter who is running the country. when our soldiers die in illegal wars like afghan. both she and her opposition leader abbot both jump up and down and assure australians that we need to be in afghanistan to fight terror.

according to a melbourne astrologer she is on shaky ground lately but has not ventured into predictions of 2013 about her. astrology-reading.com.au...

and according to an oz cartoonist pickering she is in over her head with criminal activity involving union funds and the solicitors she used to work for slater and gordon. he has invited the law firm to challenge him but they are saying nothing nor reacting. it has been brought up in parliament but she has bluffed her way out of it so far.

she is, in a word, obnoxious. she also had a trip to israel prior to her becoming PM; no doubt to get her orders from her zionist masters.

lets hope she gets shafted soon.

As an Aussie i am sickened at how this vial woman has circumvented the entire political structure of this nation. The lies, the backstabbing, the constant avoidance of giving a straight answer to a question, and having no moral compass whatsoever. She and her conscripted gang of socialist/communists have managed to divide our nation both socially and demographically, we now have a class war that we never had and a weak as piss left leaning media that bows to her like a queen. She has supported members of her own party that have been caught red handed cheating, stealing, and degrading women with an aggression never seen in a leader.
Her labeling of Tony Abbott as a misogynist and the 15 min rant that accompanied it was the most hypocritical act of a politician this nation has ever seen. But the lowbrow morons that make up 60% of our population sucked it up like some TV drama scene. We are loosing our culture and our identity as a nation because this vial mob cover every sin and act of treason with one or more hand outs to appease the nodding morons sucking on the tit of those who work their buts of and pay a majority of our taxes. I am well aware that most politicians world wide are somewhat corrupted by the power they are given, but what we have here now is truly out of control and anytime the opposition calls them to task they are called Dr No, or super negative, and our media follows suit and runs headlines in support of such claims. Our once great nation is now controlled by the socialist govt, socialist media, and Union bag men who will stoop to any level to achieve their goals.
As horrid as it is to think of such, this nation needs a bloody good kick in the ass to reaffirm that what matters to all of us and not what those on the left wish to connive us with.

Politicians should be elected on the merits of their ability to govern, not in virtue of their race/ethnicity.

She is desperate to get an aboriginal in so that she gets votes. It's a bad idea upsetting the labour party like this.

I don't trust her, but the fact she is obviously guilty for some shady things doesn't amount to much.

Rudd was not a good leader and Abbot is the worst.

Guillard isn't a bad PM despite her head shape, dress sense, backstabbing ways and embarrassing accent.

What we need is a leader. Let's get a president.

I guess she is running the country better than what the majority of the population would

Some of you redneck jokers make me laugh.
It is perfectly within the prime minister's rights to take this action. She is the boss.
Nova Peris will be an asset to the parliament and the person she will replace has been a plodder for the last 15 years in the senate. She also gets a lifetime pension so don't feel too sorry for her.
You are also hypocrites - do you remember when the conservative QLD leader was shoehorned in as premier - he wasn't even a member of parliament at the time!
And how do you think Malcolm Turbull got into parliament? Hmm? *crickets*

Gillard and the labor govt are doing a great job. Low interest rates, low inflation and low unemployment.
We are the envy of the (intelligent) world.

Well when I see my family in the process of losing their farms and water rights under this government, I don't see how they are doing a great job.. Where they may be doing a little good in one place, another 50 communities are suffering in another place. This government are built off deceit.

wow low unemployment thats bs there.

The person Nova will replace should retire, when she is ready not when some woman, who you call boss says so.
Last time I checked she wasn't a ceo of a company, but a prime minster of a country. Wasn't she the one promoting that older Australians stay in the work force? now firing this lady makes her look hypocritical.

It also stands out like bird poo on a black shoe, what she is doing. its called being a suck hole to gain race votes.

I can not believe you could be so naive and think all the statistics are for real, they don't prove a thing. how much are people depending on government hand outs, because of unemployment. this country needs its old routes back. we are becoming a highly taxed nation.

Emotions are nice but facts matter.
This govt has actually increased water buy back rights and available inflow. More water is actually being made available to farmers than under the opposition's scheme. They are no friends of yours.
Don't believe everything you read in The Daily Telegraph.
The bush is suffering because of drought and global warming, this govt is doing everything they can to ease the pain, emotional and financial.

Ahh yes the cry of the ignorant - "dem stats are wrong".
Sorry but dem stats have been collected the same way for over 50 years.
5.4% unemployment is low by any standard.
As for Gillard's choice of Peris - yep she is the boss and she is perfectly entitled to make the call. Good for her.
Crossin has done bugger all for 15 years and as I said earlier, she will have a nice little pension now to look forward to. For life!
Politics is not a lifetime sinecure, it's a tough game. Diddums. Had you even heard of her before this happened? I doubt it.
We are actually taxed less now than we were under the Howard govt. And that is a fact.

Actually they don't.
She is the preferred PM over the idiot pommy opposition leader in any poll you wish to quote.
Abbott is the most unpopular leader in history. Another fact for you.
