Imagine if it were true..

Imagine everything you've heard is true..
..everything you've heard - or read - was not science fiction
and the fuzzy grainy pictures and barely visible videos were in fact legitimate!

Imagine what you were taught in school about there being "life out there"
was not just a statement but a bonafide certainty.. ..that the strange lights
you witnessed zip across the night sky were not just a figment of your over active
immagination, or mere speculation, but instead were indeed a reality.

Imagine life from a not so distant galaxy is absolute and that 'they' have been visiting
us and sending probes for quite some time now, that after years of inquiring and
spending untold amounts of time and resources to finally know the answer to that
historically elusive question.

Imagine learning that the entities now invading our air space are here with good will intentions!

Finally learning that 'they' do not differ much in appearence to our own species, that 'they' are
flesh and blood, intelligent benevolent beings.
That instead of venturing to our planet to enslave our populace or rape our planets resources,
or possibly worse, that 'they' are a carnivorous race bent on securing our population to use
us as their future food resource..
...that instead of the negative we have been force fed about them through our main stream
media, that 'they' are here to teach us a more harmonious way to a true Class One Civilization,
to better our education systems so that we may learn the technology of science and medicine thereby
being able to sufficiently cure our sick, frail and elderly, that 'they' show us faster and more cumulating
ways of agriculture and irregation techniques to feed our brothers and sisters to our native planet
so that we may live as one nation in equality - to live life in peace and harmony!

Think for a minute - if you will - what a truely wondrous world we would live in..

Imagine 'they' landed..
...that what we've all thought and wondered throughout our history to before our fathers and
their fathers, and so on, when our ancestors would look to the sky and wonder - wonder what
we thought today.

Imagine it were true and 'they' landed -
And we see that 'they' are not really much different than we are -
We may think 'they' look as strange to us, as we probably look to them -
We may even laugh at the sounds of their voices, as it being unintelligible to us -
Surely some of us will giggle and grin with anticipation -

Imagine..
...understanding their first message to us, our first exchange, our first contact -
That thier message, is a message of peace -

"We are Earthlings.. ..we come in peace.."

Thank you for your reply M.M.

I have been a lurker on this site for many years and a member on another site.
The other site has become somewhat redundant so I have enrolled here at ATS
in hopes that I may further appease my appetite for knowledge and intellectualism.

I have read many great threads and topics and as a prospective writer hope to create
some interesting threads do to my personal views in the near future.

In essence, I hope to be a contributor.

I think we are a species that are mostly motivated by fear. If I were one of the "others" I would be very leery of making myself known -- at least until we humans displayed at least a modicum of civility. After all.......... we are afraid of many of the 'wild' animals in the zoo -- they operate on instinct, rather than reasoning.

Agreed, we are a species living in fear - as that is what we propogate.

My take on 'We Come In Peace' was the fact that all the questions you postulated was already known
to our species.

What did you mean when you stated "If I were 'one of the others' "..?

Welcome, and nice intro. I paralell your thoughts as a primitive species meeting an advanced visitor knowing there level of intelligence may be off the scale. With all of the evidence, they are the "seed bearers". I also firmly believe they bear no harm, only enlightenment and goodwill. Everyday brings us closer to the biggest day in the history of mankind on this planet. Never stop searching...

With your site name partly being "tesla", I can see why you wrote what you did.

Thank you for your gracious words.

I wrote this for my introduction to ATS members.

This was originally posted to the "Introductions" part of the forum,
but was moved to this thread.

I don't usually use terms like "ET", because that implies extraterrestrial, and we don't know that "they" weren't here before us. Same goes for "aliens", etc. I just call them "others", although they might not be that much different from ourselves. Perhaps "nonhuman" would be a better term.

Thank you for the clarification.

I agree totally with your thoughts on what 'they' are..etc.
I made the assumption you were referring to the 'reptillian' theory,
which I have trouble believing.

Years ago before the internet when I did my research through books,
I came across a story about a scientist (written I believe in the 1930's) was asked
to do a study of what an intelligent earth species other than humans
would look like. Through the discription of the scientist, a sketch was produced
which resembled a human with 'Grey Alien' sized eyes, features and of similar height.
This rendering showed this life form with claw like hands and feet with a body
predominantly made up of scales.
It is my belief this is where the reptillian alien theory comes from.

Sure wish I had that book today to access the pictue.

edit on 23-1-2013 by HumAnnunaki because: spelling corrections

The universe is at least 13.7 billion years old. The arrogance and stupidity of the people who think humans are the only smart critters in existance!

Not sure if you understood my story..or I misunderstand your contribution.

My story is to show that there is no threat of other intelligent beings
from another world, solar system or universe - not a claim that
our particular species is the end all to be all.
