but your right, take the porn off the shelves especially in the library because it is SEX and filth... but leave the killing movies... like Saw etc... I think it is far better watching people killing each other than seeing two people scruffing...not

Okay, I'm honestly a bit confused. Given where I live and in a city with multiple Bible Colleges, I hope it's understandable that local Libraries aren't exactly the cutting edge of new social limits. 90% of what I've done with Libraries in a decade or more has been by Overdrive and electronic checkout anyway, so I may be missing something?

What REAL porn is at libraries these days? When I refer to sexual things in the libraries I knew as a kid, it was Anatomy books with color illustrations (oooo... that was REAL porn too! lol) or "The Joy Of Sex" in the Self-Help Section. I think that book saw far more wear IN the library than it ever had time checked out to anyone. A classic of the time, I believe. .

So is there real porn of even a soft nature in public libraries these days? (Feels real old asking...but I gotta know)

well that is what I was led to believe... for eg:

2 people, a man and woman having sex was considered library material!

educational..

and that was annoying really because it made me feel like I as abnormal...

but as for the pic posted in the library of racial sexuality... it is controversial because some people still have a problem with inter racial marriage and sex... 2 issues...

Thanks for more context to that on the material.

On this though? I don't know about anyone else but race has absolutely nothing to do with it for me. The open sexual display in the art work and of what can be taken as quite degrading at that is something I'd be pissed to only see after my Son had first and asked me about it.

^^ It's not that I'm not sensitive to race in general as it;s a major problem for tension in public, but the white/black - slave/owner sex thing is pretty old news, I'd have thought. I mean some of the largest names in the historic record that owned slaves are now suspected or known to have had illegitimate kids that way.
