Seems the medical community in Britain want to ban kitchen knives. What's next..... sling shot's

Seems like you buy into the same BS propaganda that the UK puts out, as you do to your own.

The article wiich all the gun nuts keep referring to is about 7 and a half years old... but yes, keep talking like you know something, all the gun nuts!!

news.bbc.co.uk...

Look at the date at the top.

But people on stupid sites and pro gun morons keep repeating this like it's something new.

The same kinds of people who keep saying that Britain is banning the word Christmas... which nobody every proposed, it was a joke, but still... morons keep parroting it like it's the truth.

That's the thing about morons though, they don't know the difference.

They only believe what they're told by their "leaders" and by the people who have the same opinion as them... well, actually give them their opinion, because morons cant think for themselves.

At the risk of getting involved this yet again, *sigh*, are you suggesting violent crime has been eradicated in the States by gun ownership? Or is it possible that criminals use guns more because of the much stronger possibility that the people they're attacking will be armed?

Here in the UK, like anywhere else, someone might break into my apartment tonight. Hopefully this won't happen, but if it does it seems likely that he won't be carrying a gun. Why? Because he's almost certain I don't have a gun either.. even though I could. In reality he probably wants to steal my stuff and get out... it's much easier that way. Besides, carrying a gun like that would send him to jail for a long time if caught.

In America the thief is unsure. He comes armed, legally too. He hears noise and he pulls it out. Thankfully the home owner is protected by his gun, but the thief has the advantage of preparedness... his night vision is already attuned and he's aware, not just woken from sleep.

Do good gun owners have some magical ability to always be that touch smarter, quicker and more accurate than criminals? It would seem that way given the rhetoric on here.

The looney tunes anti-gun lobbyists living in disneyland are so full of crap that they don't even begin to know how much they smell. But I will be, in the spirit of ATS, be civil towards you.

1. Your entire post DOES NOTHING about the act itself - crime by humans - and instead focus yet again like many of your kind on the TOOL.

Is is no wonder the crime rate is so high in your country, simply because your kind who had disarmed citizens, had implicitly told criminals that it is ok to trespass on personal property or kill as long as one carries only a knife. Violence is ok, as long as it is NOT gun violence, to ensure the statistics look good.

How more stupid can one get???!!!!

2. In Texas, the criminal who wishes to trespass will have to think twice, for even grandmothers carry guns. Guns are not the solution to eradicating crime. No where do gun enthusiats made such claims. Guns ARE ONLY deterrants to crime.

In US, it will take the insane and the desperate to try. But in disarmed nations such as UK and Aus, it is open season for criminals to take anything they wish from homes and commerce, even kill, SO LONG as they carry knives and not guns, thanks to deluded folks like you and the pope.

3. I hope that you and your kind may grow up wiser, for it's tiring educating people like you to focus on the human, instead of the tool. Enlightening the pope would be a hopeles cause, for he is far too old, too senile to lead, and just too bad many still worship him and influenced by him, even when proven that he is flawed in certain aspects.

These are the same Saints who have praised every single poor choice and bad direction for humanity in history. It is really a red flag if anyone is paying attention.

Thanks for the heads up. Flyersfan did you see TrueAmericans latest thread about the Sheriff in Utah and his letter to POTUS? It is well worth your time to read and I know you will appreciate and draw strength from the letter the Sheriff wrote.

Thanks for this. Also one question, how many criminal minds has the Vatican supported in the past? I think of the Crusades, Hitler off the top of my head. Yes, this is a bad sign as they never jump in and back a fight they think they cannot be on the winning side of.

That took a whole lot of intelligence and courage to post that. I understand how it must make you feel, so be sure and pray on this because even the Holy See needs Gods guidance at times like these.

Actually, the next thing they will be pushing is amnesty for illegal aliens, the next big thing on Obama's agenda.

I don't see what the problem is here. If the Pope wants a gun ban, well, he is supposed to have a direct line to God. Just pray to God to take the guns away. If God doesn't magically make all guns disappear, then it must be His will that people have guns. Can't get a better endorsement than that.

He didn't actually do anything. When will you guys get that through your head? You were being extremely paranoid. Just admit it and move on.
They aren't coming for your guns so they can install socialism. I don't care how many times Fox News tells you it. What they have planned is worse.

Okay, let's look at the last sentence: "What they have planned is worse." Please explain to me why that would be an encouragement for a citizen to disarm and why, if what they have planned is much worse than socialism, would they not ultimately want to remove all firearms from the citizens. It seems to me that something "much worse" would entail disarming the people even more.

Well said, man. All of you that are saying that Jesus would be in favor of banning guns, I suggest you pick up a bible and go back and read. Pacifists don't tell their followers to sell their cloak and buy swords. Pacifists don't get all WWE inside the temples when they see how much of a circus Sabbath had become.

The Prince of Peace is a misnomer?

Jesus was ferocious? He encouraged armament?

Good to know - it explains so much...

Peace out kids

Christ also violently kicked the moneylenders out of the temple and told his disciples to buy swords before they went out ot preach His word. Sometimes peace means that good people may have to take violent action.

The Dalai Lama himself said:

If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.”

Bernton, Hal (15 May 2001). "Dalai Lama urges students to shape the world". Archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com. archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com... Retrieved 2 May 2010

Even the "head" of Buddism recognises that being a peaceful person does not neccesitate being a helpless person.

What, that the prince of peace himself was not above busting heads if it was necessary?

What, that the prince of peace himself was not above busting heads if it was necessary?

Busting heads? Really? I love this need some people have for a really bad-ass Jesus - the masses clamoring for a Tarantino Christ

We always see these two examples:

Christ also violently kicked the moneylenders out of the temple...

Yes, Christ pitched a fit :-)

I get why - but it's not exactly like he clocked them - or pulled out a Glock and blew them away - is it?

...and told his disciples to buy swords before they went out ot preach His word. Sometimes peace means that good people may have to take violent action.

Is this what it really means?

Here are three interpretations - and just 3. There are more
Sell your cloak and buy a sword

Which interpretation do you like best? :-)

Jesus also - in what was undoubtedly a low blood sugar moment - cursed a fig tree for not giving him figs - does that also help your argument?

I like the Peaceful Jesus best - good thing there's something for everyone :-)

edit to add: this thread is about the Pope - and should he have a say about what goes on in this country?

What the heck is he saying? What is this really all about? Why be concerned about what he says?

Does any of this have anything to do with what Jesus would do?

Of course they did! In fact, all churches have been mandated to work directly with DHS in preparation for martial law or, at a minimum, a state of emergency.

Homeland Security and Churches

Pastors and Priests are the first line of enforcement.

Churches as Government Agencies

Christian Emergency Network

These are only a few examples. If you take the time and follow this rabbit deep into its hole - you will find the church and state deeply intertwined.

I guess I am not suprised by this, a few years ago I wrote a thread about this,
and its not just the Vatican, its the Catholic Church also.

Gun control: Catholic Church Firmly, Quietly Opposes Firearms For Civilians,

Its an old thread, so I am not looking for any flags or that, so sorry to post a thread
of mine...yet I think it is relevant.

Try an intro thread instead of posting the same line in multiple threads. It's not really on topic.

Division division... lets see in how many directions we can divide the citizens.

Who cares what that old prune says. Some might I suppose, but I dont. The Vat has a poor history concerning violence, elitism, conquest, murder, suppression of information/truth, political manipulation, avarice, and have little room to talk about whats good.. unless its what is good for someone else, but not applied to themselves. I understand that he and his followers think he is a divinity on earth and infallible, but to me and many others.. he is just another deluded mortal man with opinions that unfortunately carry more weight than deserved.
