How about YOU get real. A gun in the hands of a law abiding citizen is self protection to save their life and the lives of their family members. Take their self protection away, and the only people having guns will be the criminals who will ALWAYS be able to get them.

And how EXACTLY is it myopic of me to tell the Vatican to clean up their own mess (pedophiles, corrupt Vatican Bank, etc) instead of trying to change our laws here which have NOTHING to do with their country?

Answer .. it's not.

Your agenda is showing.

why does the vatican have armed guards and their own security force.

Because, much like the elite left wingers in this country, they scream that the average person shouldn't be able to protect themselves and all the while those elite have that same protection. Hypocrisy.

the only way to curb gun violence is not to shoot each other.

it's the most effective and 100% full proof method.

But he didn't really pass any gun control legislation.
He proposed studies on gun violence, and emphasized enforcing current laws.

Are you opposed to studies on gun violence?

He didn't actually do anything. When will you guys get that through your head? You were being extremely paranoid. Just admit it and move on.
They aren't coming for your guns so they can install socialism. I don't care how many times Fox News tells you it. What they have planned is worse.

OK, now you can stop using the "X can kill, ban X" fallacy.

It's not a fallacy. It's the truth. This IDIOT wants law abiding Americans not to have a way to protect themselves. The criminals will always be able to get handguns. He, and the Vatican, are being MYOPIC.

I'm not a fan of the Vatican, but at least they are right on this one.

No .. they are being eurocentric and have joined in the NWO wanting to disarm Americans.

You can protect yourself with things besides guns. Criminals get handguns... wanna know from where? Click to find out!

The NWO... now you're just afraid of a boogeyman and want your blanket. Time to put on your big boy pants and work for a better tomorrow.

Tell me Mr. "Da tRoof" what r you going to defend yourself with against a criminal with a gun? Please enlighten us, but don't hurt yourself trying to figure this one out.

This whole situation with the Vatican is just sickening, why does that emperor looking goon have to stick his nose in our business anyways. I suppose when they try to disarm us the pope will execute order 66 on us patriots

I Wonder what the Vatican's Stance on " Gun Control " Was During the Nazi's Blitzkreig in Europe during the Late 1930's .........Hmm..........The Church Of Satan was somewhat Silent during that time , so Why Comment on Todays Gun Control Issues ?......Hypocrates INDEED.............

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Luke 22:36

Swords were the "assault weapon" of their day.

So sell some of your garments and buy an assault weapon!

Asking christians what jesus would do is a waste of time. Since when have christians ever cared about any of the messages of christianity or jesus? Aside from calling themselves christians and praying now and again, these people simply don't care about what jesus would think. they're charlatans of the highest order.

If they want to get rid of guns so badly, why not start off by getting rid of the hired guns that protect the Pope? Oh wait, it's different when THEY have the guns apparently.

Vatican supports MORE control over the people?

This is not surprising in the least.

posted on Jan, 20 2013 @ 09:18 PM
The Vatican is as much about control as the Government, they both need willing sheep.

So, let me get this right... The vatican and the former nazi-pope thinks that it's wrong to kill people? Ok, I can go with that, unless of course it's self defense or trying to intervene in a rape or murder. But what makes these idiots think they have a right to an opinion about killing people by any means, guns or otherwise? Is hanging, stabbing, flayling, whipping, the guillotine, suffocation, drowning, poison, wars with bullets, etc. all ok?

I think the 20 million or so people killed in the wars of religion and by the jesuits would have a different opinion. WTF is wrong with these people? Are their funny red hats restricting the blood circulation to their brains?

The vatican and crew of flakes should simply STFU.

Cheers - Dave

Is it just me or is the Pope a major FAIL as a Politician? He strikes me as a man who wants very much to be a Political Leader with major power far beyond what he has as a SPIRITUAL Leader.

If he'd like to keep being a politician as the head of the Catholic Corporation though? Fine... I'm good with that too if we yank the Catholic Church's tax exempt status 100% and require them to start filing 10Q's like every other Corp.

His position is against my own and harmful to a cause I feel strongly about...but he's said things I agree with too. It doesn't matter. In his position, there are no personal opinions if they're said where the public hears about it. This sure isn't opinion. It's a strong suggestion of policy down through he Church.

Well, Pope to a Religion or Dope to a Population? Pick or or the other, I say. He's worthless in the middle. Kinda silly looking too.

Actually, regardless of how the Vatican is trying to make it appear, it's the other way around. Obama is simply siding with the Vatican. The puppet can't help but do what the puppeteer commands.

Please don't take this as an insult to your awesome effort to further a second amendment discussion: I don't care what the Vatican says about our constitutional rights. Totally irrelevant. I appreciate the Pope's opinion, but a American constitutional scholar, he is not.
