Not saying the story is true or false but logons without posting seems like poor evidence of a hoax. I understand the idea behind the reasoning but there are also reasons that could also make it valid.

You're late to class my friend. Logging in and posting nothing was the finally blow. If you care to see how I came to this (almost) conclusion, please read the last few pages. As I outlined some of the bumps I encountered.

But tell me, why would the 'daughter' who has no other interest in ATS except for her 'mothers' thread, log in and do nothing?

Me's think ---it's one in the same person.

Someone typically doesn't open an account (to author a personal story) only to read another thread first.

Looks like the person did 20 posts so a thread could be started.

Right, but why would she comment on the Denver lights thread and not mention what her daughter saw? If she was really seeking answers, she would have said something about that.

As I said. it may be a hoax but evidence cannot be seen from one side only.

The activity here does fit within the workings of the site. I personally don't put much into this, at least as 'other worldly'.

She may have been just getting 20 posts knowing she was going to create the thread.

Still, I am always pretty skeptical over these threads. Just pointing out how evidence can get used by both sides to favor their position.

I get why. You couldn't get real answers if you went into attack mode from the beginning. The only reason I saw that is because you already called it. I think we can safely say there's enough evidence to let this one go.

I'm not letting this go. I want Mom to show face so I can verbally ambush her with more questions or.....to apologize.

But all this time passing coupled with these quick appearances--- almost speak for themselves. But alas, she has the 'faulty cable' to blame for that. Nothing like having all your ducks in a row. The best defense is a good offense and she (or serendipity) is playin' it very well.

And ya know what?....I'm wondering if it's even a 'she'! That's how cynical I've become.

A question for the OP:

What was your job position at the Denver airport?

She got 1 post in before making her thread.
Moving on............

The mounting evidence and conclusion that I've ascertained has come after 13 pages, 48 hours, 1 OP and 1 daughter.

I think I am a fairly reasonable, rational and patient chap. I am skeptical by nature but have trained myself because of that, to ignore my instincts when asking questions and obtaining truth. You get more with honey than vinegar.

The detective side of me says the OP failed in enough areas and by many accounts to make me more than suspicious. The only thing that can reform me is if I see her original account name. If she refuses that then.....there is no more wasting time and this thread will be history for me.

But it's still a learning curve that apparently I still needed to round. So it's all okay and no regrets

It's not evidence. It's attitude.
I am not nor was I ever looking for evidence. How? We're on a damn computer!
I was looking for honesty but...I stopped receiving transmission.

I totally apologize. I was looking at her last post which at the time was this. I totally overlooked her history. My sincere apologies. Doesn't really change much except to prove I'm not always right!

I think I understand your perspective.

We both have our own 'conditioned' 'hunch' sensibilities.

They are different.

My sense is still that they are telling the truth as much as they know how to as flawed humans.

Also, I don't believe the behavior of the lights fits ANY OTHER scenario EXCEPT one involving the purported ET's &/or Gov black ops folks.

That's my belief.

It's understandable that from your perspective you require a several times higher level of criteria to assign such an interpretation. That's your perspective.

I haven't had your conditioning for your intuition and you evidently haven't had the many thousands of hours of face to face interview sessions with folks telling their family stories that I've had.

It seems to me that virtually ALL the other purported explanations for the lights and for the narrative are

AN EXTREME GROPE.

At that point, I want to mention Occam's famous razor.

When the rationalizations and interpretations jump through more [to me] absurd and twisted hoops than the simple narrative THAT'S WHEN I begin shaking my head incredulously--about the fantasized rationalizations.

Or, put another way . . . when ATSers READ MORE MEANING, MOTIVE AND INTERPRETATION INTO a narrative than the evidence supports WHILE cheekily criticizing the experiencers for READING MORE MEANING INTO THEIR EXPERIENCES than the critics thinks fitting

. . . words begin to fail me . . . Sheesh.

It is OK. Just wanted the record straight. Better to question something than always give it a free pass into fact.

Sorry, but that's not how I read your posts hereon. And, actually, you confirmed it in a post on this page . . .

You are evidently NORMALLY, ON AVERAGE quite cynical.

However, as you said on this page, you put out a honey persona to get more information . . . evidently before pouncing with your characteristic cynicism.

Personally, I virtually always tend to believe--or at least give great earnest gobs of the benefit of the doubt UNTIL that's no longer possible and is, instead a very OBVIOUSLY silly thing to hold onto.

Those are TWO VERY DIFFERENT stances, ways of being, and approaching personal narratives.

And, you may know, biases, values, attitudes, IIRC, even the foods eaten . . . can CHANGE THE VERY PERCEPTIONS one has.

I still find the woman and daughter's narratives quite plausible.

.

Human_Alien,

I do respect your opinions as a veteran poster on ATS.... however, I think you are being a little harsh with the OP.

You see what you think are discrepancies in the story, but how many times when someone is in a situation that absolutely stuns them that they don't get all the detail exactly correct?

You've been wrong about her postings.

She did post the story in another thread here as well:
2013 Kicks off with Multiple UFO Sightings Across the World [VIDEOS],

You demand that she come her and explain herself because she was online and didn't post a reponse seems a bit harsh.

I'm still interested in hearing how the story plays out, if there are anymore instances, or events as they have the camera ready.

I curious to hear about any more disruption with the animals as well.

But really, to just shut her down on your "opinion" really isn't fair, as you cannot prove this is a hoax just as she cannot prove that it isn't.

At this point I don't know if the OP will come back and post anymore with the way she has been treated, which is sad,

I hadn't seen that. I looked through her history but somehow missed that one. It definitely moves things back to her favor, but I still wonder why she didn't say something about it in the Denver lights thread.

Something that would make the story much more believable would be if she could post her old screen name, so we can look at it and determine if it's really her. Human Alien asked for this, but unless I missed it, I don't believe she has.

Hello all.

Some how this has gone of topic. It now smells like a witch hunt.

Just because the OP has inactivity from their end and other contributers are logged in but not listing/contributing, should it raise suspicion? As stated previously, people log in and forget to log out etc.

People have a life off-line. They choose to come here and share their experience. We all may have suspicions about truth in topics written here but that dosnt really mean that the OP should be treated this way.

If you let them post in their own time with out pointing out holes in the topic and take consideration that the account from OP's daughter was second hand then related diffrently by the daughter who actually experienced the lights.

As I said in my first post on here the OP put this in the UFO forum.

They like many of us want answers/opinions on the weird things that they have experienced.

Shooting holes into a thread wont make for a fine read.

Relating to the first part about the door being sealed up. This is interesting. Was there any thing wrong with the door? Did it need replacing? Or was it as stated earlier an attempt at draft-proofilng?

Where is the rear door in proximity to the kitchen?

Also, the dog that growls at the door, does it ever go out alone? And what is the rest of the animals like when there are plane in the area. How do they act?

eee.
