Eric Holder Begs Court to Stop Document Release on Fast and Furious

Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice have asked a federal court to indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law.
Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.”
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that Holder’s and Obama’s desire to continually hide these Fast and Furious documents is “ironic” now that they’re so gung-ho on gun control. “It is beyond ironic that the Obama administration has initiated an anti-gun violence push as it seeking to keep secret key documents about its very own Fast and Furious gun walking scandal,” Fitton said in a statement. “Getting beyond the Obama administration’s smokescreen, this lawsuit is about a very simple principle: the public’s right to know the full truth about an egregious political scandal that led to the death of at least one American and countless others in Mexico. The American people are sick and tired of the Obama administration trying to rewrite FOIA law to protect this president and his appointees. Americans want answers about Fast and Furious killings and lies.”

The hypocrites of the century are at it again. The people who were gun walking to the Mexican cartels on behalf of their bankster buddies are desperately trying to cover their arses. It should be very obvious that the operation had nothing to do with tracking guns. It had everything to do with arming the bankster friendly cartels to wipe out their competition, destabilize Mexico and start a civil war, as well as possibly blame the second amendment. It worked, except for the second amendment thing. Mexico has a total gun ban for all of their citizens. Now we see the results of that.

These people have armed guards with them at all times, their kids have armed guards at their schools, they give guns and launder money for the drug cartels, yet, there are people supporting them and their gun control measures? It's insane and completely illogical. Hundreds of people have died as a result of those guns being in the hands of the cartels, that number may very well be in the thousands. The real criminals are the ones running our government. Hopefully, all of the documents get released and they get fried for it.

I would suspect, a good portion of those documents are at the bottom of a shredder, by now. I hope some justice still exists to bring this debacle to light.

I'm sure he is begging. His agencys, under HIS direction and leadership directly supplied ATF seized weapons as well as allowing federally prhibited firearm sales to known drug cartel soldiers, killers and suppliers. These guns were used, in part, to feed the 60,000+ dead in Mexico's ongoing civil war between the Government and the Cartels.

..and so far, this piece of garbage hasn't even had to sit for ONE 'uncomfy' hearing on the matter. He's controlled where, when, how and what he had to say or not say 100%. It must be nice to be under investigation basically, by yourself and YOU get to say when you're innocent by your own determination. I mean, what he's done isn't that far that being THAT absurd....

So I'm sure he is begging with all he has....because we haven't heard the HALF of what ATF and DOJ itself did. There is still a matter of "Gangwalker" not to be confused with "Gunwalker" which is tied up with the Fast and Furious operations. GANGwalker was similar in putting weapons out to street gangs in the upper Midwest. I wish I could say more...but it came into the headlines and then vanished forever all back at the start of the F&F disaster.

There is A LOT that pathetic man needs to worry about..so beg away there Empty Holster...Err..I mean Eric Holder. Beg beg.... just like the agent in Mexico might have mentally been doing before being shot to death by an ATF gun in the hands of a cartel killer.

You're right and I could watch holder fry all day. I am sick and tired of these people thinking they are above the law, and the Constitution. First it was this, then Benghazigate, now these mass shootings? It just seems like everything this administration does is to dismantle America from the inside. This guy Obama has to be some kind of manchurian candidate sent here from the middle east to infiltrate our government and cripple us.

Well it's nice to see that we can still find the article on this to read because if you didn't find a souce friendly to conspiracy theorists, then we would never even hear of this happening in the first place!

MSM keeps their little (blackouts) on government issues like this because they don't want the puppet master being anrgy, you never know, that same puppet master could just as easily drive the reporter and his/her vehicle off a cliff....In a very unusual cliff driving accident....

Thanks for posting this for us to hear about Holder on his hands and knees, all the while his people are already behind closed doors whiting out the info on the documents, or shredding them at the moment to get out of this mess......

This is just more fuel to the Obama fire for gun control though, IMO......

From everything I have read and seen pertaining to the Mexican drug cartels, I believe safety could be a valid concern for not making these documents public just yet. Before I go any further, I think complete transparency on this is a given, however not at the expensive of innocent lives that may be threatened by this information.

What I mean is, as some of you I am sure are aware, that these cartels indiscriminately kill and when I say indiscriminately kill I mean men, women, children, law enforcement, public official, Mexicans, Americans, nationals, foreigners, journalists and other cartels. Further they commit these acts in private and more often right in Public.

This information could expose known and yet to be known operatives involved with this and result in even more unnecessary deaths ontop of those that have already be linked directly. Who knows how far this scandel actually extends, who knows who will become targets as a result of this information becoming public. Who knows if the cartels will target those involved. Alot of uncertainies in my mind.

That is the only justifiable reason I can see for staying the order. If this is just a matter of people trying to protect their own butts then I feel this is a blatant attempt to sweep another one of the governments messes under the rug.

I really wish the government , not just in the US, but all nations were more accountable to their citizens….I know pipe dream right

A solution to the problem of safety you raised could be solved by redacting the names of PRIVATE individuals and leaving the names of public/elected officials revealed. Then we would know who in the government approved what and not place and informant or private citizen in danger of Cartel reprisals. What do you think?

That is a possible solution. However, who would be selected to redact names that could be vulnerable and how would we know that key individuals wont abuse this and hide their own involvement?

I am all for having the key players be brought into the light, but not at the expensive of entry level clerk that might be to close to reality that is Mexico.

This is one of the main reasons why people shouldn't willingly hand over their guns or allow new regulations/laws. The govt should come clean on their gun dealings before joe citizen has to answer about his.

Oh, Eric Holder...what a genius idea it was for you to let a couple thousand guns "slip" into to the hands of some of the most violent, ruthless people known to man. You thought you were going to track the weapons and bust high profile gang leaders?..
