Doing the same as we speak. Although it looks like a quick game of cricket.

I stubbed my toe on the pavement therefore all pavements should be banned.

I hurt myself in a car accident therefore all cars should be banned.

I electrocuted myself therefore all electricity should be banned.

All aircraft should be banned because sometimes they crash and kill people.

Just remember than even Western Australia is not immune from stupid people...

Might i just add, to those not from Perth - or Australia for that matter, that people from the south of the river shouldn't be taken seriously.

What a joke. I should go down there tomorrow and throw a paper aeroplane into her backyard

These people have truly lost sense.

Oh, did you guys know that we are also culling sharks because they are killing people who surf near them?

Yes, we are a city that blames the car - not the driver, or something more familiar to the americans among us - the gun, not the owner

Yeah, Nanny State indeed. I was pulled over by the Jacks ( Police) in September last year and breathalised.
I was fine as I had just left work, about 4 in the arvo. The copper looked at my passenger seat and saw a
Retractable knife that I use at work for cutting paper, she said and I quote "' If that knife leaves the car and I see you with it, I will book you for carrying a dangerous weapon"'.
I kid you not, I wished her to have a lovely evening ( sarcasticly of course) and went on down to the local Pub for a couple of cleansing ales to calm my nerves and recount this tale to a few mates.
Australia is one of the most over policed and over governed countries in the world, true you feel pretty safe.
But I think there is a cost for all that. Parking fines, Speeding fines, fines for almost anything and now you cant even throw a boomerang.

South of what river Bro? I agree a lot of piss-taking but us Aussies are big enough and ugly enough to take it.
But boomerangs?
The problem with council officials is that they will do anything and say anything to get re-elected.
Thats problem why the moron agreed with that very foolish woman.
While we're at it lets ban playing cricket where bowlers can bowl a ball at a batsmen at more than 120 km/'s an hour.
Lets halt all Athletic field sports, Javelin, discus and shot put a really dangerous.
# watch out for the paper boy, from now on he has to deliver the paper in person to your doorstep.
