did I actually see this?

Today at approximately 6:30 p.m. EST in central PA (keeping city hidden for privacy reasons) I saw something strange

While walking out of my dad's trailer, I happened to look to the north and see something very odd: there was something in the sky. It appeared as if some flying object, appearing saucer in shape had a cloaking device because you could see light bending against the clouds. I'll attempt to describe it the best I can but it was basically just a distorted, darker looking spot in the clouds that was moving towards my location in an erratic pattern, occasionaly dissapearing and reappearing again almost as if it was teleporting. At first, I thought that it was just part of the cloud and something with the sun setting was affecting the way I was seeing it, but then something strange happened: two helicopters suddenly flew overhead (couldn't tell how low they were, not good at guessing that stuff) towards the object and then all of a sudden the two helicopters and the object dissapeared--I could hear and see the helicopters up to that point and they just vanished. My dad, who was inside at the time, says he didn't even hear the helicopters flying overhead but I am certain they were there.

as I'm fairly certain this was not a genuine UFO encounter because of other people not seeing/hearing the helicopters or the UFO but instead just me, I was wondering if any other ATS members ever had similar experiences and what could be the possible cause

just curious as this was my first experience of something like this

It could have just been the sun distorting the clouds, you ever drove along the road and seen what looks like water further down the road but in actual fact its just some sort of heat wave?

It could have just been heat waves.

But its the helicopter part that worries me somewhat, wish i could witness things like this!

Hope someone can clarify what you saw but i highly doubt it without any images or anything like that.

yes, I have seen that and that's the kind of thing that had me thinking, oh it's just nothing but then yes, the helicopters is what really scared me

Interesting. Of course it MIGHT just be a coincidence, but still we get to the point that allways irritates me: WE DON'T KNOW
What if you post the name of the City? Maybe someone here at ATS saw the same thing. Just a thought...

I have already said that my dad didnt even hear the helicopters when he was inside whereas I did, but it was in Robesonia, PA incase anyone here is near there that saw the same thing

Then we'll just wait and see if any members have something interesting to share on this topic and specific incident

maybe its a new stealth aircraft being tested that uses light refraction to hide or a current plane testing such a device and it had a problem and the helicopters came to escort it back to base?

that doesn't really explain both the helicopters and the aircraft (if it was indeed some kind of aircraft) suddenly dissapeared or why no one else saw/heard the helicopters

Southeast of you this morning I work up and looked out my window at the full moon. To the east of the moon was what looked like a BRIGHT star it flashed three times in about 15 seconds then went out did anyone else notice this?

It was probably a street light turning off.

You are one paranoid, dillusional person my friend

You might have seen a secret military plane your description sort of matches this but this was spotted 15 years ago by another ats member.

Then there was a sighting of something also similar in Ireland. This was spotted at the time the president of the United States was visiting. The workman who spotted it said that the UFO slowly passed overhead and then just took off disappearing into the horizon in seconds.

He's been campaigning here in PA a lot lately (I'm sure he has 4 more rallys here before Nov 2, one of them being today), I'm pretty sure he was in Lancaster yesterday but not at the time of the sighting (which was in the evening), he was campaigning there earlier in the morning

Someone called it an intergalactic spacecraft.

Just imagining for a moment that this thing exists it may have equipment on board that can carry out all kinds of surveillance from above.

Yep we shall see, infact in the mean time(forever) while we are waiting for these aliens or whatever you thinks going to happen, i suggest you read this thread in the mean time.
