Kay its just breaking now on France 24 tv the hostage rescue operation is over, and I was told personally all the islamist militants have been killed.

Latest headline here now : 23 hostages and 32 kidnappers killed - Confirmed by the Algeria Goverment.

Total of 8 are safe here, and we are still looking for 5 missing norwegians
