Nobody I mention this to can give me an answer. Its almost as if the mere mention short circuits their brain. The United States government killed 76 men, women, and children in cold blood. This is more than double the tragedy at Sandy Hook, yet nobody is screaming to disarm our government.

Hypocracy at its finest. I'm hoping and praying the sheriffs in this country stand up for the people that elected them.

Wow! We said that jokingly! I didn't think he'd really do it!

OMG! He just brought up the one on one gang related shooting in California.

"We should be responsible for shielding kids from harm"...

Isn't that why, at least in the worst circumstances, a parent would want a decent firearm?

23 Execuitive Actions

Oh lordy

He said there's now 23 executive actions he can take, instead of 19. So far he's saying there needs to be more research into gun violence, violent video games, strengthen the NICS system, mental health, and universal background checks.

I could give a rat's ass what he has to say. He has ZERO authority over the matter. "Executive Orders", by law, only apply to his cabinet. Signing Statements apply to NOTHING and NO ONE! His cabinet posts have ZERO authority to legislate - so any nonsense coming from ATF, EPA or any other non-Congressional office has ZERO effect on the people. According to Article I, Section 1 of the United States Constitution ALL legislative powers are vested SOLELY with the Congress of the United States. That means that no executive office may place laws, regulations or restrictions upon the people without passage of Congress!

People had better wake up quickly and defend what remains of this country's founding principles lest they awake later, in a gulag, beholden to a set of masters that cares not for its people!

Remember, whatever he says, it's for the children. We must sacrifice for the safety of the children. We must cede authority for securing our own safety to the government.

He's not taking away anyone's guns!

Silly, silly, silly Americans!

He's just making sure that you get permission from the government before you can own one.

*Speculation, but I bet I'm right!

I think that will be a suitable epitaph for America...

We may be gone but damn it we did it for the children! Think of the children.

I'm thinking more of a home situation where a parent is needing to protect their family or themselves.

If a parent had a firearm at Sandy Hook and didn't use it, then so be it. However not all parents would have acted that way.

Take all the firearms away and no parent will even have the chance to protect their loved ones.
