It looks like the Medical Examiner was not at the top of his game that day... As the MSM is now reporting, only handguns (4) have been found. P. Morgan will have to take back about half of his factoids now that a semi auto was not used in this tragic event.

This will spur more conspiracy theories, but hopefully will allow the two sides in the gun control debate to find more common ground...

how could a medical examiner make that kind of mistake? What other mistakes has he made??? Do you think this comes out now because of the sandy hook videos circulating..it's quite obvious that they pull the rifle from the trunk..do you think they are covering up their butts?

What about the 'backlash card'...it has the sign of aquarius on the background..Not sure if I buy into the cards...but hey, thought I would throw it out there...

Huge evidence that the gov. is fulfilling there ambitions of a totalitarian state, Blaming all the incidents on military style assault rifles to further their agenda *shared head repeatedly* Divide and conquer, Divide and conquer, Divide and conquer, Divide and conquer.

The news played the assault rifle angle whether it was right or wrong. They might have thought the facts would not be known for years even if they cared about facts. Rumor can be powerful and it has worked to an extent for creating negative opinion on those rifles and magazines. Typical play by them.

looks like to many people are cumin to ATS and youtube for there news so they had to change there story.
because they aren't you usual mistakes.

Just another Red Herring in a line of them regarding the details of this case. All intended to keep people chasing their tails.

If this new information is accurate, we've got serious trouble... I am surprised to see this coming from MSNBC

Well in light of the MSM finally saying no assault rifle was used.....what will obummer do today.... if he still bans assaunt rifles....

And yet, people still believe the official story. I don't understand why you believe the authorities and government over your own eyes and gut feelings. Something is amiss here, that's for sure. You can't take the peoples guns without an incident that plays on the hearts of the people. We are cattle and pawns in the eyes of the powerful. (they've said this it's well known) What will it take for people to ban together and get their heads out of the sand? \

Don't matter as I'm not allowed to have an open mind and ask questions. I'm labeled a nut job, conspiracy theorist, etc. That's fine with me, I don't like the taste of sand anyway.

It is probable that no one knows anything.

Backlash...when was the "Backlash" card (your ATS logo) in the Steven Jackson series created? 1995 or was it added since BHOs first election? (seems off topic but relates to a) expected "backlash" from gun control and b) that he or another black man was "expected" to be president in not too distant future (fr then) also and it came true.

Hey New York,...since no assault weapons were used in the sandy hook incident....how are you liking that lovely new assault weapons ban?

Interesting that they didn't name the supposed officials that made these statements to only MSNBC, considering there's absolutely NOTHING at the State Capitol about any of these supposed details being said. And as per our laws here, they legislature would be the absolute first to know if there was something major like this kind of development.. The Ct State Police are also scratching their heads wondering where this came from as they have not officially released any of this sort of information...

So before everyone starts on the "OMG the LIES ARE REAL" crap again, think about it, why only MSNBC, why no named officials, and why isn't any of this on any of radio/papers/tv here in Connecticut...

Of course the reports will be delayed until a gun law can be passed, they are merely stalling.

If the ban is announced today that would be a HUGE document and impossible to create from scratch even since mid-December. It was no doubt written up longg ago and been on Obama's desk with numerous coffee stains on it by now.

The anti-2ndA push has never been about safety. What happened in Newtown could have been done with a wiffle bat full of sand and these anti-gun politicians and pundits would still be saying we need an AWB.

One has nothing to do with the other. The anti-gun push exists in a sphere all its own.

I'm risking entry into a discussion which deals with a topic I usually have to avoid.

Why? Not because I have a stake in the outcome... but because I feel many people simply have to understand something which many (apparently) take for granted...

from the moment this event went "national" media reported on ANYTHING... every rumor, every half-assed speculation, every something or other overheard as officials walked by a media staffer.

THAT is why you never got a straight story... it's because the media's "journalists" now only report what has been sanctioned and accepted by officials as "what the people "should" know" rather than the facts.

Every long arm became a machine gun, every round became an armor piercing explosive tip flechette, the shooter became Hitler and Satan's love child, and anyone involved became the subject of controversy and suspicion. Every passer-by mentioned in police chatter became a potential child murderer...

Now, as the investigation takes place in earnest...the details form the original gore and fear-porn fest don't match. Well, what did you expect? Did you expect the so-called "news" to have any clue about what happened? Did you think they would keep there most eye-catching and inflammatory notions out of circulation?

This is why subsequent to the event the reporting all turned to the devastation and pain of the grieving. There was no more room for risk-free confabulation....

All I ask is that as we discuss this we take heed.... I can almost guarantee there is more we will never know than what we will be 'told' by anyone.
