Take half of the National Debt each and see which side does best over 5 years.

Red States keep their guns and they can cut spending,lower taxes, privatize everything and do all the conservative libertarian stuff they want to do.

Blue States can give up the guns and see how they go with their social programs, Affirmative Action and high taxes.

It might bring people together. Make people pull in the one direction.

It could be like having a Western Conference and and Eastern Conference. Its still one competition. Both could still be American. Or more like baseballs American and National Leagues. So what if the two sides have slightly different rules?

Why cant a country have two leaders and two systems? Especially a nation as large as America.

A Red President and a Blue President would solve alot of problems.

I honestly think in the minds of our politicians the civil war never ended. Strong rooted values don't just get over written.

North blue and south red?

They only give us 2 choices as it is.

Why not let the individual states determine their own laws & policies independently, and let the head honcho balance the budget, pay the bills, and mind his/her own business?

That's not going to happen though. We are on the United States farm, and will have to act accordingly to what the farmers recommend for their chattle.

All the best ideas we can come up with won't do any of us much good as long as the farmers have the locks & keys.

How about we just admit both parties have screwed our country over and say to hell with them both?
We need an entirely new election system which puts ordinary, grassroots people into office rather than the guy with the most money and tv appearances to make that happen.

The Democrats would never go for it, because they wouldn't be able to afford anything, too many of their voters are on the system and don't put anything into it. They need to steal our money to sustain their way of life.
