I sit way back in the Forest where I have my front deck looking over and down the only road back 3 miles from the Four Laner. & miles from Town.
One day not to long ago I was on my front deck off to one side not in view of the property next to my right.
Then I thought I heard something of a bass sound. Being 75% deaf I decided to check it out.
Low and behold I saw Red jacket running down Bobby's driveway. About 100 yards out.
I hailed him to stop since they weren't home and saw no car hiding behind a rise in my front property.
The guy said he knew Bobby and kept moving away. I asked him to stop. He didn't. He didn't see I had my side arm and one of my shotguns at my side.
So, with the permission from Bobby I had recieved according to the Castle Law, I took out a leg and the other car screamed away.
Now I had the perp on the ground and ran off deck down 160 ft drive and almost got the vehicle racing away.
When the Sheriff arrived they found 1000 bucks and Bob's painkillers on the perp.
Sheriff said I should of taken him out.
No trouble from Law with Castle Law.
Now just Saturday I had a guest wroker from Helper-x. net who supposedly was a Christian and he was to work for room and board. After several weeks he started to be very controlling and got very angry at me for wanting to watch a show I wished to watch and not football. Well he through a book at me and started getting really pissed off in my Castle. He had several sworns in his room and when he ran into his room I felt he was going for one of those swords. When he came out of Bathroom bedroom area. I was staring him in the face with my trench Broom and boy did he leave my property.
The Sheriff got him on the Highway and told him he could get an escort back to retrieve his belongings but not the swords.
He is now not allowed back in the county.
What I am saying is that there may come the time when we all may have to protect our Castle or loved ones and if your untrained with weapons you will have a better chance of not walking away.
I really don't need a gun cause I am an expert in archery, Tomahawks and knife throwing. But the Gun scraes the Hell out of anyone especially when they hear that universal sound.

The crazies are out of the asylum and you truly can't trust anything one tells you. All seem to be after themselves and we don't matter.

Even in the UK we have shotguns

This thread however is part of something else, something that is actually getting rather annoying.

Members of ATS using the this fine website as a means to bombard the rest of us with gun lobbyist propaganda to push a political agenda that seeks to thwart any change to the gun regulation in America. ATS is not for this, many of us are getting fed up with thread after thread about gun control.

We all get it, you want to keep you constitutionally insured penis enlargements (guns). Guess what though there is a lot more important things going on in the world just now compared a change in American gun law. It’s really quite a small issue in the grand scheme of things and I for one am getting fed up of the NRA propaganda that is plaguing this site.

So home owner beats of thief with a shotgun…. So what, good for him, does it warrant the story being retold on a forum with global reach…. NO!

I can give you a solution (which is free btw): Skip or ignore all the threads that bother you and hurt your eyesight. It's easier than convincing everyone else who doesn't share your opinion!!!

You know what?
You cant do this in Connecticut.
You have to let them go, TV and all.
If they break into your house you must retreat to the farthest point, if they come to you, then you can pull your gun.

Actually, i'm pretty sure NOBODY is threatening to take your guns away completely.

"gun control" - the wording itself entails that guns will still be accessible for responsible people.

Are your eyes going bad?

If any of these are true I might recommend installing a home alarm system or getting a dog.

For those who no longer feel comfortable handling a weapon, these are easy solutions that are as and sometimes more effective according to Police officers. I have been told by Police, thieves pass on houses with barking dogs.

My statement still stands.
