So this thread "The Simpsons Predict Collapse of America within the next 6 weeks to 3 months." came through after the last Simpsons episode.

They specifcally said a number of times that America would collapse. Even homer himself said " america can't collapse, we're as powerful as ancient rome." Then later on in the episode they said "homer, we all know america's collapse is about 3 months away" Then someone else chimes in and says " six weeks at most,"

and in this weeks' episode the intro bit has a meteor destroy their house and then the words 'The Couch : Don't get too comfortable' . Following that they say that following rate hikes electricity gets too dear and people can't operate their electronics. In the episode before this they spoke of an EMP.

Given the uptick in solar activity, could it be possible that a flare will head our way and knock out our power grids and that the creators of the Simpsons are alluding to this? Or something to this effect.

Well, chance that something will hit us is growing everyday, but if The Simpsons actually predict it, I dont know
How much have the Simpson predicted before? The only thing I can recall, is Bart holding a dollar bill, with the 2 towers, and 9/11 - but even that is a stretch
