America is starting to go the same way that the Native American reservations have gone in the past. I think it is a good idea to begin to define our current situation by some of the examples we have in in our own history. One has only to look at how our big companies, with the help of law enforcement and government have exploited the indian reservations for almost every valuable resource that have been found over the years, yet very few indians have benefited from it. The common people of America are becoming exploited in all of the same ways. One has to only look at the reservations around the country to see how we will all be living eventually if things remain to go on this way. We have a prime example of what may happen right here in our country.

"The War On Terrorism"

The Native Americans must have thought of the Business controlled Government that exploited their lands as a terrorist organization. We are seeing that the same old companies are using the same old techniques on the rest of the country now. Call it what it is. Media has coined the word terrorist for those infamous militia organizations around the world. We need to look at some of these companies that exploited the reservations as the terrorist organizations that they are, and begin to see the similarities in our own culture. Maybe a new "War on terror" should be defined and started against the true perps...

Some of the Res's have started Casinos. Some have gone to poverty. And still some have brought the buffalo and the land back to life. What kinds of things we feel are important, and what battles we choose to engage in will tell how are country will turn out, but it seems probable that it will become one of these results.

It seems obvious that big companies like Monsanto, and others like them will leave the land and cities as scabs upon the earth if we let them. Are they not as terrorists to our families and our home? Let's look further into the word and define it fully so that we may act towards it in the future, call it for what it is. Our country is going the same way as it's North American Indian reservations have gone.

Here's a little vid that sums up the idea.

I think it is safe to say we may be going the same way as past civilizations. But it is somewhat of a stretch to say the way of Native Americans... Considering they are apart of America and some of them have stakes in big businesses like monsanto.

I can see where you are coming from and i feel you are right in your judgement but i think that was a bad analogy s+f for the thought though!

My thoughts are mostly for the land. Past civilizations did not have the vast mining of resources that we have today and the enormous potential for polluted areas to become uninhabitable. The Indians in North America have had to adapt and live in this environment, and even though it may be only just now becoming clear, I fear that our children will find themselves in the same predicament.

I think that if you were to look a little further into what has happened on our reservations, you may see the similarities, as well as the end result of what is happening us all now.

Of course this is happening on a Global scale. I just wanted to draw attention to the reservations because it it in these places that you can find the resulting outcome of our modern day resource mining culture.
