The source is a Google translation of the original article you can find here:

www.hln.be...

Imagine if a massive cloud of hallucinogenic dust swept across the country, that was my initial thought going by your title =p

Happens all the time here! I live in central Australia, no more than 10km's from Ayers rock. This is nothing uncommon!

See them 5/6 times a year!

Mods could you delete those last two posts of mine, I don't know what happened but my last post showed up 3 times, and I hadn't even been in the sand

I must admit that my heart would miss more than just one beat seeing that monster coming so clearly... I got caught in a couple in the Phoenix area when hauling produce but never got the chance to see the 'front' approaching. I only got the effect while sitting in open lots it seemed. lol... Enough to almost tip an 18 wheeler, parked though.

yes it is quite a common occurance here... anyone that has to report in weather would know this (where is the ozweatherman?)

if visibility is less than 10kms at your station, that could mean disaster for metro areas.

best one I have seen yet was about 5 years ago... came rolling in... sort of looked like a monster. lol

I remember that one. Dad and I were on our way back from Lowes and I looked to the southwest and could not believe my eyes. I got home just in time to squeeze off a few shots of the neighborhood, but nothing like shown in that video. I should build an observation tower in the back yard so I can get a better view of things.
