Please give me reasons why guns are bad.

I am not getting pulled into the Gun Control debate again as my views are not welcome but I will answer some of your direct questions. My suspicion about the Automatic Rifles wanting to be banned is probably more to do with the speed and effectiveness, also the fact that normal Police in the USA only carry hand guns, which might as well be a pea shooter against a weapon such like the m4a6.

Would believers in the 2nd amendment agree that 'man' is essentially good?

I think the very fear that 2nd amendment freaks have is the same fear built from Brits and Europeans invading and controlling their supposed world.

No. It is a fact.. they would not be able to get rid of 300million guns. There would be many that slip between the cracks and into the hands of criminals. Not to mention it would eliminate the very purpose of the second ammendment. Those are facts..

a coward can kill dozens of people from a distance without having to get his hands dirty or in a physical struggle with the victim

it's just not possible with a knife. if it is possible, it takes a hell of a deeper insanity


and the simple facts don't lie. don't belive the NRA lies

guns kept in a home are more liklely to be used on a family member of the owner or on the owner than on an intruder

if you harbor paranoid fantasies about blowing away that intruder, the fact is a depressed person in your house is more likely to commit suicide using that gun

it's just too easy to take a life. it doesn't require any serious commitment for violence from the attacker

I do agree. On an elementary scale, guns are a bad concept. But the cat is already out of the bag. Trying to ban guns now would be like trying to patch a tire that is shredded into pieces... it just wont work. The only time I would willingly drop my guns would be if the government no longer had lethal power to inforce what they see fit. That will never happen and thus I will never give up my right to fight tyrany.

Agreed. Completely. But if everyone actually admitted 'guns are bad' in principle then they might stop using them as reasons for stupid hypotheticals about tyranny and the like.

Example: The Alex Jones's of USA think that their guns will defeat a tank or a drone or an F 16 ???

it still stands guns are good. even with some one who has a.d.d. it helps there concentration. the faster the gun goes boom the faster they are able to focus.

thats another reason guns are good and not bad. only when bad people get guns do things happen
